Nichushkin remains out.
Bishop starts.

Radulov is probably out. Hintz will move up to the top line.
Carrick is scratched and Polak is back in.

Since this is our only national TV game of the year, how badly will we get humiliated?

Home game. Were recently humiliated on a road trip.

I bet Benn and Seguin score enough to win it.

This NBC announcing crew is about as bland as a presentation can get. The play by play guy has no thoughts beyond what is printed on the stat sheet in front of him, and the color analyst isn’t exactly full of personality. Maybe the strangest thing is they aren’t interacting with each other. There’s no conversation and no chemistry. It’s just two people filling their prescribed spaces in the broadcast with words.

Yeah, they're awful. The woman they have on ice seems to be the most engaged and informed of the three. Let her have a shot.

They’re not even close to Gary Thorne & Bill Clement.

That was a pretty sweet deflection.

Really nice deflection by some guy named Spretzle.

Now that Kari is gone it’s not losing in crazy unpredictable ways, it’s boring and methodical underachieving.

My god, those breakouts and zone entries after pulling Bishop were *fargin'* awful. Klingberg and Benn both threw the puck away to Wild players.

This team sucks.

It probably sends Minnesota on a winning streak...Meanwhile the Stars hover around .500 and miss the playoffs again.

Man, they had this game, and then shitty D from Faksa, a bad deflection after a series of shitty clears, and it's all over.

The Faksa line, which scored 40 times last year (i.e., once every other game), has really sucked this year. 1 empty net goal and a bunch of scrambling in their own zone, chasing the puck. It's early, but I don't think anyone's regressed harder from Hitch than Faksa.

Benn/Seguin looked off. Klingberg looked really, really bad outside of the 2nd. I'm guessing those 27 minute nights have caught up with him.

Hintz was overmatched on the first line. I kinda suspect Montz put him up there on the top line to see what he could do (nothing), in order to call up Gurianov if Hintz doesn't perform. Hintz can be sent down without going over waivers, unlike the other guys.

Shore actually had a really good game, with some spectacular puckhandling. At least we have one guy who brings his A game on national tv. This one game might've seriously bumped up his trade value.

No d-man can turn a routine clearing attempt into a three-shot mad scramble around the net like Polak can. I know the name "Woywitka" gets thrown around a lot around here, but...

Yeah, Shore did have a good game. And the Stars were having a pretty decent game, but when you finally get a goal and think you can stop playing, well, you lose.

For about 54 minutes of that game, this team looked like a disorganized swarm of bees. Are we back to being pesky and I missed a memo?

I'm so *fargin'* sick of this organization and the sycophants that enable its continued irrelevancy.

Fire Nill immediately. Seriously.

Dallas looked really good for most of the second period. The Wild couldnt even get the puck across the blue line, and all four forward lines were deking and puckhandling the Wild defenders out of their skates. Dubnyk stopped four point blank chances set up by some slam-dunk passing sequences, or it would easily have been 3-0 Stars by the second intermission.

Quick reminder: every single team in the NHL passed on Dubnyk after he failed with the Oilers.

Watching them successfully not score isn't really doing much for me. There are no points for keep away.

I might have been giving this team too much credit when I said we were the 5th best team in the division.

The first period was boring, the second period was exciting, but frustrating and the third period, painful. Typical Stars.

typical; same old; here we go again; I read the same piece last year; once again...on and on.

The multitude of empty seats on a national TV game said enough.

Correction: after watching the .gif replay, it wasn't Faksa who lost the Wild scorer on that first goal. It was an unbeleivably shitty play from Comeau, who apparently sucks just as much on defense as he does on odd-man breakaways:
