23 men with a common purpose... to be acquired at the deadline by an actual playoff team.

That play leading to the penalty call would absolutely have been an icing against us last season.

Let's see what Nelson's PP can do.

This is a hell of a lot faster and more wild ass than Hitch hockey.

The fact that we're making actual passes to exit the d zone is refreshing

Definitely held my breathe for a second there until Benn popped back up. Mouth wide open looking for revenge like a big dumb dog.

Good to see that our second PP unit is still as unintimidating as ever on paper.

Heiskanen should be on the top unit with Klingberg.

Also, I'm not terribly impressed so far overall.

Think he'll be like that guy in the NFL and retire mid-game?

Loving our new pace so far. We definitely looked a bit gassed by the end of the period though.

Heiskanen is such a stud. *fargin'* seamless.

Carrick almost injured Bishop.

So far we are able to hold our own against the worst team in the league.

I see a lot of positives, but can’t help but wonder what this would look like against a team that isn’t Phoenix LOL.

As much as I like to *poo poo* on the Coyotes they are definitely a much improved team and building on a strong finish from last season.

This first period has already provided more excitement than all of Hitch’s 82 games last year.

Spezza retired over a year ago.

If he does I can see Nill making us roll with 9 D-men.

Can Blake Comeau still produce? Or is he over the hill? I thought he'd gel good with janmark, but Spezza being so damn slow I'm not sure.

Was he ever able to really produce? He had one season of 24 goals and other than that was lucky to get mid-teens. He's not a second line winger.
