Dowling was a lot better than I'd expected. He didn't score, but he set up a lot of just-abouts, and was one of the few guys willing to skate the puck in and deke out defenders to set up in the o-zone.

Seguin at the top of the list. Then there’s Bustchushkin. Janmark is a dial tone.

Seguin's goal drought is now at 12 games, tied for a career-high. Seguin leads the NHL with 71 shots on net this season but has just three goals to show for it - a 4.2 per cent shooting percentage. He's thrown 57 shots on net - a total only nine others have reached to date this season - over his past 12 games.

Klingberg out at least 3 weeks.

Remember when everyone laughed at Nill for keeping way too many dmen around? Turns out he was just too ahead of the curve

Nyberg? Hanson? We’re really scraping the depth chart here.

The Stars will need to call up some guy named Joel or Dan or Bill or what have you, because we’re now officially in the stage of testing a team’s depth that equates to when you haven’t done laundry for a month and you end up using your kid’s knee-high soccer socks as dress socks because dang it, you have a meeting in 40 minutes and the Tide Pods were all out last night. Joel Hanley is having a good season. The Stars cannot hope to keep eking out wins by asking Roman Polák, Julius Honka, and Guys Having Good AHL Seasons to lock down four NHL spots on the blue line in the Central Division while a 19-year-old and Esa Lindell do all the hard work. These things are why good starts are really important in the NHL.

Are we getting close to "have to make a trade" time? If one more defenseman goes out, probably.

Maybe we’ll run the torpedo offense — 1D, 4F.

Methot is a guy who misses big chunks of every season, so that’s certainly not going to help the roster makeup.

Klingberg had surgery, so add another week to the recovery.

I’m sure the 8 weeks he’s out will only feel like 3 weeks.

Nill acquired a warm body defenseman named Taylor Fedun for a conditional 7th.

I understand sending Heatherington down but not Gurianov.

He wasn't brilliant or flashy, but he's better than all the other callups and he certainly should be playing ahead of Ritchie.

Monty said it was a combo of cap reasons and him not quite winning a job yet. They don’t have the cap space to put another one of these injured vets on IR and then carry what amounts to an extra roster spot.

His point about winning the job seems to mean he’s saying Gury has to not just earn ice time but be good enough that the team is willing to permanently lose someone because any guy he displaces will be subject to waivers when they are sent down. Not that I think exposing a guy like Ritchie to waivers is something to care about.

Carrick is still out another three or more weeks with his foot injury.

I'm sure she caused a few heart attacks at that senior centre. I love Miro even more now.
Also @ Wonko, see, Faksa's girl does have tremendous Euro face when not being photographed professionally.

Shore should have had an MRI today. Out at least 7 to 10 days.

Is Honka + Nichushkin + random prospect + a couple picks enough to get us Nylander?
