How does a pro sports league give the job of engraving names on its championship trophy to incompetent morons who can't be bothered to look at a sheet of paper or a website to make sure the name is spelled correctly?

Invest a little more money in this area for *f-bomb*'s sake....

Aaaaand now Simple Jack is out 4 to 6 weeks. Poor Kings will have to roll with their 3rd string as the starter for the next month or so. And whom might that be? Well Budaj. Who never should have lost his job to Campbell in the first place LOL.

Jumboner Joe got his 400th goal, and EK got his 400th assist in Nashville’s first regulation road loss. Shiiiiiiiiiit.

The Penguins have made a trade. Details to be announced. Speculation is it is Nylander.

Actually, the Pens acquired Tanner Pearson. Looks like the Kings shakeup is going beyond the coaching staff.

I'd be cool if the Stars acquired Sprong from the Penguins.

I don't get that trade from the Kings perspective. They're a rebuilding team trading one of their top young forwards for someone...older?

Hagelin is FAST. That's something the Kings desperately lack.

Shapiro said something about wondering if this was a trade for the trade deadline.

He didn't go into his thinking, but my guess is he sees it like the Kings trading a struggling young player who still has two years left on his contract. Maybe they didn't really see Pearson as a long-term fit, and with all the guys they have under contract long term, they were fine trading Pearson to remove a contract and give them flexibility.

Hagelin has also been struggling, but he's a UFA this summer. Maybe the thought is the change of scenery sees Hagelin's game and numbers improve. If so, the Kings sell him at the deadline for picks/prospects. While they could have simply traded Pearson for picks/prospects, maybe they weren't getting offers worth a darn for him. Or maybe they think Hagelin is a better fit who can help lift the game of some other guys on the roster to make them sell higher when they start to strip the team down for a rebuild. Who knows.

But I honestly don't know how they pull off any kind of rebuild considering the number of 30+ year old players they have locked up long term with no movement contracts.

Tampa loses their starting goaltender with a broken foot, and the backup, Louis Domingue has not been stellar in his five starts (3-2 record with an .887 save percentage and 3.43 goals against). Kari time? :D

That'll be the Stars in 3-4 years.

And likely with zero championships to show for it.

Yeah, this widow has closed in all likelihood. Trade Jamie now while he still has value so you can get something before you waste the primes of Seguin and Klingberg.
