Nice.

Those two can look upon that moment fondly when they're retired next year.

Well. I will say this for Khudobin. He makes me feel significantly less nervous when he is in net than Kari did. That's a good sign.

How long before Heiskanen is NHL ready? Since defensemen take longer to develop than forwards then I’m guessing he could be ready in about 4 years.

Yeah, then he'll graduate to the NHL where he'll spend two seasons in the pressbox. He'll be ready for full playing time in year two of his third contract.

On Heiskanen
"He seems to have [the ability to play both sides] because he makes the game look easy," Montgomery said. "His brain is two steps ahead of everybody else."

There's a certain someone weaved into this narrative here that seems to be relative to Hitch's playoff success with the Blues against the Stars that year and Hitch's current struggles to make the playoffs at the end of this year. Can anyone guess who it is?

I'll go with Captain Fantastic, who scored one goal and was -3 in that seven-game playoff series.

Spare organizations always eventually turn on their 3 or 4 good players.

Man has Bayreuther been BRUTAL.
God help the Texas Stars when he and Scarlett are on the ice together.

I like what I’m seeing from Point though. He’s the real #32.

Bayreuther is pretty bad. Didn't even know Scarlett existed until I saw the Wild game.

Point was good.

I don't think there's a problem with wondering if they could get more from him. After they gave him the moster contract, he went from best in the league in scoring to not even top 20, combined with him playing less physical.

It's not that he sucks or anything, but they can't be happy that his production dropped right when his salary skyrocketed.

When Benn's production slid from impressive league leading numbers to okay Modano like numbers.

What made you think I turned? I'm from New York and in 13 career games against the Rangers he's scored one goal, four points and is -10.

Some more brilliant, MVP-like analysis from a person that somehow inferred I was a defender of Dez *fargin'* Bryant:

I think Ralph actively dislikes the Stars at this point even though he bites his tongue about it.

I can’t help but feel that we only lost because we were in Idaho, which is somehow weirder than the Flames losing in China.

Can't believe we lost a preseason game.

Season over.
