I didn’t think Nashyville was gonna go down without a fight. We get a game 7 and it’s the best series of this round. Yay.

I find it ridiculous that television still censors things. I mean, young kids generally have access to Google and can see all kinds of fucked up *poo poo* on the internet pretty easily. TV and radio are still living in 1990.

I think so much of it is old habits. We are also seeing it erode, especially with sports broadcasts. Whether it's player interviews or mics capturing stuff on the bench or in play, sports broadcasts are now full of cussing.

I think there are still FCC decency rules in place, as well. So, potential fines.

Ouch.

http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/2344 ... nguins-nhl

Kris Letang was a liability on so many scoring plays that he's now legally obligated to change his name to Brooks Orpik.

But also, this:

If I have one wish as a hockey fan, it's that I don't want to attend Ovechkin's eventual Hall of Fame ceremony to celebrate the best goal scorer of his generation, only to have the conversation hijacked by someone bemoaning the fact that he never won a Stanley Cup.

Anyone who doesn't want Ovehckin to get a Cup can straight up go *f-bomb* themselves.

I agree. I like Ovechkin a lot and wish he was a Star.

Chris Kunitz is clearly better because he has four Cups to Ovechkin's zero. It's simple math.

Perhaps in the off season Nashville can convince its fans to quit with the You Suck chant, because until they knock it off, bad karma gonna follow them.

I'm happy with any of these 4 teams remaining winning the cup. I'm sure that has never happened before.

Tampa I don't care about. LV I hate. Go Winnipeg or Washington.

That Kucherov non-goal would’ve been the goal of the playoffs if they hadn’t had six players on the ice.

That whole late first period sequence was the turning point for game one. The Caps dominated the period and pretty much the game (Niskanen included - *f-bomb*) and stifled any real come back.

It will be interesting to see what adjustments TB makes. Boston poked the bear in the last round and got trounced. We will see.

lol. The Knights are being absolutely outclassed by the Jets.

This is why I can't stand the way the NHL sets the playoff seeds. It should be the best to the worst of the conference, not the top 3 from each division and then wild cards. This way, shittier teams go on Cinderella runs and then get stomped in the conference finals. I wish they would change it.

I believe the thinking behind it was each division would be strong and lead to greater rivalries. Flip the coin and you have the best teams meeting in round 2. 1-8 worked really well. Can the NHL stop messing with *poo poo* already? Every year!! Something. Leave the damn game alone and quit changing the rules.

I really have no objection to watching the best teams duke it out in the first two rounds.

I like the NBA model where you know the champion before the playoffs even start.

I do. The best teams should be duking it out for the cup. The current system is ridiculous.

Man, Lightning Radio...I love me some Espo, but it’s the most homeristic, minor league, unprofessional call I’ve ever heard. maybe it’s just the Caps kicking their ass again, IDK.

So the Capitals get rid of terrible possession defenseman Alzner, now they have the team's best success in the playoffs since 1998.
