Washington and Tampa are really the only teams I'd be ok with winning.
Although it would be kind of blolz to see San Jose finally break through without Marleau or Thornton.

I’m on the Capitals train. I want Ovechkin to get a Cup.

I don't care who wins it as long as it isn't Pittsburgh.

Re: 2018 NHL Playoffs
The only upset I have in Round One is the Kings taking out Vegas.
And this should finally be the year that the Caps beat the Pens in Round Two because Grubauer > Murray.

Winnipeg has never won a cup with either incarnation, so I'd be okay with them going all the way.

Re: 2018 NHL Playoffs
As bad as we think we have it, the Winnipeg Jets haven't won a playoff series since 1987.

Jets will lose in 6.
I could see the BJs upsetting the Caps too.

No way the Jets lose. I bet they sweep the Wild.

If it goes to 6, Wild will win. If it goes to 7, no way in God's green earth that the Wild will win.

I don't think you wrote your if-thens correctly. If your first one comes true, then your second one never could.

Well the Wild are undefeated in game 7s.
Jets are the far more talented team, but who knows if most of the team being inexperienced gets to them and sure they've cut down on the penalties this past season, but it's really easy for them to go back to their past ways and give the other team a lot of powerplays. On the other side the Wild always struggle scoring in the playoffs. The keys will be how Brodin/Dumba play for the Wild and if they can actually score.

Wild undefeated in game 7s <<< Bruce Boudreau
I think everyone's underselling the Wild here. The Jets are good, but they aren't playing the Stars this round, they're playing an actual team that has quietly been the third best in hockey since Christmas.

Even with Suter, they’d be the underdog.

And I just realized I won’t be getting MIN/WIN on CBC. It’s Pitt and Philly. Drag. Must be some of the TO/BOS games would conflict. Can’t air anything but sacred TO games, it’s Canadian law.

The Jets game is on CNBC here.

Re: 2018 NHL Playoffs
*f-bomb* the Kings, Ducks, Avs, Bruins, Penguins, and Sharks in that order. *f-bomb* Preds fans. *f-bomb* anything Philadelphia. *f-bomb* Vegas for getting in the playoffs on their first try.
The Devils and Jackets will get rolled. The Wild so nothing for me one way or the other.
I like the Jets because they make me jealous with how good they can be. I like players on Tampa and Toronto, even though I know Toronto doing anything will make life insufferable for Knives.
Mostly, I want the Caps to win it to anger bigoted Canadian hockey media people who hate Russian players.

I’m watching it. I just hoped CBC would carry the series.

Game One of the Oleksiak Era is going pretty decently so far for Pittsburgh.

The good news is the Jets will be losing players in the next 2-5 years as the players will be getting expensive, no longer on ELCs. So they'll have some tough decisions to make.

I see Elliott is in his consistent playoff form allowing 5 goals and getting pulled.
