Baseless speculation based from random tweets are saying a Western conference team has upped their offer with a significant roster player. If it's us, Lindell seems like the kind of reliable defenseman they'd want in any deal.

If so, welcome to the dumpster, Esa!

I’m sure y’all heard about this but not sure why we never talked about it here LOL:

Vegas’ Nate Schmidt suspended all pre-season and 20 games for PED’s.

Nashville’s Austin Watson suspended all pre-season and 27 games for domestic abuse.

Austin Watson is a Don Cherry fav. Let’s see how he spins this one.

And the weird thing about the Schmidt suspension is he’s standing up and saying it’s total bullsh. Sounds like it is, but I wonder if it is?

He won’t unless Watson’s first game back is a Saturday where the Preds are in Toronto LOL. If yes then “Good Canadian kid”, followed by old man tearing up and choke voice, ended with an off cue thumbs up that lasts way too long while the camera lingers and then finally cuts to a picture of the troops.

The amount found was minuscule and probably from tainted supliments, which would make sense considering how easy it is to knowingly cycle off in time for testing if you’re not a dumbass, what doesn’t make sense though is that he claims to get all of his supplements from the team, which should almost rule out tainted supplements as that is basically the whole point of going through them (especially since that’s never happened before LOL) as this isn’t going to be gas station Chinese creatine made in the same vat as a thousand other drugs, so ... who knows.

Twitter is convinced that Karlsson is going to San Jose.
I'm really banking on Melnyk being too dumb and bitter to do them any favours after the Hoffman debacle.
The Sharks keeping Hoffman would obviously have been even better for us acquiring EK.
God I hate them.

Seguin is making...more than Wheeler? And you know for a fact that Seguin would have easily gotten $11MM or more on the open market. He obviously wanted to stay in Dallas for some reason.

I enjoyed the memes on the Karlsson trade of everyone wondering who the hell the players are that Ottawa got back. Wondering whether San Jose is getting an extension for Karlsson as part of the deal.

Burns and Karlsson is quite the combination.

Was that the debate? Or was the debate that Seguin was going to get 10+ from us? (and somehow because of Wheeler's contract)
Anyways, it didn't and he didn't.

Welp. I have quickly soured on the Seguin extension news, because that was a no brainer that should have been done a while ago, and only got done because Tyler bitched publicly (and rightly so).

I could have lived with Karlsson to Vegas or Tampa.
But this? This one stings. Especially since we became the front runners again, and the return the Sens got is underwhelming to say the least.
Tyler's 9.85 AAV would have made it totally possible to extend EK too.

Pretty sure we're debating who is right and who is wrong.

I'm surprised he took that (comparatively) little. Especially since Dallas hasn't really been that good to him in terms of playoffs.

Of course you're surprised. You thought Wheeler's contract somehow drove up Seguin's price.
Wheareas I looked at Wheeler's contract (he had more points than Seguin) and thought the opposite.

I'm confused by this deal. Couldn't the Stars have given them a better return even without Heiskanen?!?

I miss the days when 80% of the league was run by rock-stupid GMs and you could get eight first-rounders for two months of Keith Tkachuk.

Seguin is much comparable to Tavares. Again, Wheeler is a winger and he's significantly older. Seguin took a hell of a home team discount.

LOL then why did you even make that Wheeler contract comment in the first place? It screamed hometown discount! Move your goal posts up your ass.

What a day for hockey though.

Until a contract extension is announced, I am absolutely holding out hope that he ends up walking as a UFA lol.

I didn't expect Seguin to take a hometown discount.
