Apparently Skinner wanted to be closer to home which is why he waived his NMC. And he’ll be a UFA when the season is up. Don’t listen to Waddell. Ever. In addition to having always been garbage he is also now the puppet mouthpiece of that new penis owner. No self respecting GM would have taken that gig.

Now this is some spectacularly terrible contract management. Their three best players hitting UFA the same summer.

Which is why Nill needs to get on the phone and fleece Waddell for everything he's worth.

Barkov got a speeding ticket in Finland going 120 in a 60 zone, in Finland your speeding tickets are based on your annual salary.
$54 000 usd ticket lmao.

Happened to Selanne too:

I would’ve figured they’d have killed the stupid law by now, though.

Wild Bill gets Tom Wilson money, except for just one season instead of 6.

So this is a huge prove it year for him on whether he can keep that production going.

Even though he’s dead now, still a better goaltender than Kari Lehtonen.

Wow. Thankfully, goal judges are now obsolete.

In the old days, each goal would receive a rating from 1 to 5 stars based on form, grace, and execution. At the end of the game, the team with the most stars would be declared winner.

The MVP of the championship was usually granted a small estate, the village's best wench, and anywhere from 5 to 15 serfs.

Back when the league first started, they were granted 72 virgins. Pitty that tradition ended.

The concept of virgin NHL fans went away when Seguin entered the league.

Looks like Zetterberg won't be back.
The final nail in the Red Wings dynasty era coffin.
The unveiling of the headstone will be when Kronwall finally retires.

Yeah, they will probably be pretty horrible this year. But they do have a lot of young decent players, so just maybe they hold it together. Their defense is really lacking, tho.

Now that they suck, I’m rooting for them. :)

I think the management team in Detroit needs to be gutted. Lots of Wings fans up here agree. Holland is living in 2003 as far as his management style goes. Nill might also be guilty of that.

Zetterberg's cap hit is 6mil plus for the next 3 seasons too. I guess he could retire and that would be that. Maybe that's what is happening since the Red Wings have no cap space at all.

Trade him to the Stars. Easy solution.

If he retires, I think the Wings get hit with a stupid recapture penalty. I bet he goes on LTIR for the rest of his contract.

That’s what happens when you hand out a bunch of loyalty reward contracts.

Carey Price looks like an Alabama cop looking for some hippies to *f-bomb* up. Or Kyle Reese from the original Terminator.

Karlsson needs to adopt the style they put on him. It's great.

And poor Ovechkin. Further proof of Canada's bias against Russians.
