Why not just throw Langenbrunner out there on a line? Couldn't make it any worse.

Langenbrunner continues to age at half the normal human rate.

Play really well to start and come away with only a one goal lead? I've seen this game before.

I don’t think letting the Bruins spend most of the period in the Stars’ zone is a good recipe for success.

It didn’t go our way, but I still think we can draw a lot of positives from this game.

In five seasons since trading Tyler Seguin this is the third time the Bruins will be going to the playoffs (they won the Presidents' Trophy in 2014) but the first time with nothing left to show for it other than subtracting him.

Great coaching too having Pateryn out there late in the game, when he's terrible moving the puck, not to mention playing the 7th defenseman on the second defense pair to help the team lose.. It was hilarious Pateryn had the puck in the corner doesn't move it, it looked like he was trying to just kill the clock for whatever reason with 15-16 seconds left.
Hopefully this team can lose the rest of the games.

Maybe they could play Hintz and Guryanov (and force Hitch to use them) and sit Lehtonen. What’s the worst that happens, we lose seven games in a row?

Since the Stars wasted the last two callup options on McKenzie and Heatherington, they can only do emergency callups, unless what's being reported is wrong. So they'll need players to be out to callup anyone else.

As soon as the puck was on Pateryn's stick, I knew a goal was going to be scored. Why didn't he *fargin'* clear it out of the zone? Very poor awareness. You don't eat the puck in the corner with 25 seconds left to play.

I think Benn read some of the recent press clippings. He might have had his most physical game of the season.

Pateryn could have done anything and had it turn out better. He appeared to panic with the puck on his stick in the corner. He looked like he changed his mind about sending it up the boards and then decided he would reverse it only to see a Bruin that way as well. His stuttering gave the Bruins time to close in on him and take the puck away.

That would be catastrophic. Better just to play the vets, they never make mistakes.

Re: Benn. Is it possible an injury has been ailing him this year? His play these last two games have been a lot better than most this season. Small sample size for sure but it's something Troy mentioned and that Jaime has had some speed recently that he hasn't used or benn able to use.
