I'm actually excited about the new coaches, but I'm also tempering those feelings since this is the Stars.

I'm always excited. Even the Pesky Stars with Ott and Burish in top-6 roles were fun to watch.

Halak sucks. Fight me, Cody.

Food for thought: the Bruins let Khudobin walk and signed Halak instead (to a higher contract too - 2.75 x 2 compared to Doby’s 2.5 x 2).

Counterpoint - the Bruins traded Seguin and Thornton.

Counterpoint - the GM that traded Seguin is now ruining Edmonton while the current GM who signed Halak also drafted McAvoy and makes the playoffs. And fucks.

I guess the hold up to the deal was them getting someone to make that mario video.

It's obviously frontloaded and lockout protected - hence increasing the chances of a lockout - but holy *poo poo* the AAV being only 0.35 higher than Benn's contract which was signed two years ago is *fargin'* sweeeeet for us.

Listen, if the sitcking point ended up being Heiskanen, then I can totally live with that, but considering the return they got from the Sharks, I highly *fargin'* doubt it.

Norris is either the #1 or #7 prospect in SJ's pool, depending on the website. Plus all those other guys and a ton of picks. So it's not nothing.

I thought for sure Ottawa would want Merkeley back, but... I guess they want to keep their organization free from distractions.

If our package was based around Honka, then yeah *f-bomb* us, but if the rumour that we upped by adding Lindell is true, then *f-bomb* them.

Any pain of not getting Karlsson is severely assuaged by getting Seguin as a Dallas Star for life. I mean I wouldn't have minded Karlsson, but this is the important one.

It's all about Heiskanen for me now.
And trying to get Panarin.

The pressure just got much greater for Heiskanen too which scares me. That may not be good for his first season.

Yeah but those picks could turn out to be anything. They could even be a boat.
