I keep hoping some of Spezza's decline came from his back flaring up making it hard for him to skate. If there is any optimism to be found, it has to come from hoping his back is in good shape next season and his skating improves as well.

Do back problems ever improve, tho? He could barely wind up to take a shot this season.

I have serious upper back issues that have never resolved, myself. But, I remember Belfour already having some serious back issues when we signed him in 97 and he was at his best during the stretch, so who knows...

I'm torn - I think a Komarov or a Winnik could be helpful, but at the same time, FFS, just let the kids play for a while and see what we have.

I doubt he wants to go back to the Stars after all the drama with his pay and his dislike of Razor. But, I would be happy.

Some people on here mentioned it back in the day. Not sure where the information came from. The rumor is that they didn't really like each other.

I never really inferred that they didn't like each other, but more that they just weren't friends - They had different interests off camera. The thing about Razor is that whoever he's calling games with seems like his BFF, so when you find out they don't share every meal it seems shocking.

I choose to believe they are besties and doing everything together all the time. Ralphie narrates and Razor makes sarcastic comments. At the zoo. At the Malibu speed zone. At the barber shop. Etc. all. The. Time.

I keep seeing reports that the Oilers are shopping Nugent-Hopkins. Now seems like a fine time to bring him to the Stars.

Because of Nill's shitty drafting, we are going to have to do this every off-season.

Before long there are going to be as many Russian assets here as there are in the White House.

If the price is right, I'm down for Kovalchuk. Stick him and Rads on a line. Have them "mentor" Nichushkin as well.

What are they going to do to mentor Val? Tell him to not shoot it into the goalie's chest?

According to Russian twitter, the Stars have agreed to a two season deal with Nichushkin. It will be announced on July 1st.

So Val and Hanzal are going to be the players we *poo poo* on next year, yes? Or do we need to nominate a third?
