Outside of a playoff series win a few years back, it has been the same *poo poo* on repeat since you checked in last decade.

And would they have even won that playoff series if not for this?

The games get tighter, so the lack of puck moving ability from the back end becomes a bigger problem. As a result it ends up in goals against, penalties or it's just clear it out, go off for a change.. Hurts this teams ability to create off the rush scoring chances, they can't cycle as they suck at passing.
Yeah Pateryn has played better tonight but he sucks.

I think Shaw got hurt knocking his head on the boards, not on Pateryn.

He's lucky he wasn't thrown out of the game. Stupid decision by him.
Hopefully both Hamhuis and Pateryn aren't brought back.

This whole team is so bad, they haven't connected on a odd man rush in ages.

I'd be OK if they'd called it even. Shaw took a run at Pateryn.

Shaw knocked himself out taking a dangerous run at a players head, and knocked himself out on the boards. I'd prefer no one be hurt, but he kind of made the decision to take the risk.

He didn’t know Shaw was hurt. And Shaw got himself hurt after taking a big run at Pateryn.

I wouldn't even say that was a particularly dirty hit but for the accidental head on head.

Lots of puck bobbles tonight. Did the Bell Center host a tractor pull last night?

Jesus Christ. Just fire everybody, including Nill, and blow the team up already. What a pathetic joke this game was.

Another poor effort. Lots of stupid penalties and bad play. Not a lot of quality scoring chances.

Outplayed by a bad team who came into the game with a litany or excuses.

They had Niemi in net for crying out loud. And just like most backup goalies, the Stars cannot overcome them.

They don't need to blow up the entire team. get rid of Hamhuis and Pateryn after the season. Even if it means playing (two younger players) the team's puck possession will improve. Which in turn will help out the team's offense, regardless of how much actual scoring those two players do. The team lacks speed, skill (passing and scoring ability) from most of the roster.

The two wastes of money in Spezza and Benn (especially since it's long-term) hurts. Both should be traded.

Looks like you’re going to get to see Honka if Methot is out.

Yeah for 14-16 minutes, he should be put with Hamhuis and play around 20 minutes per game. It would help this team out so much, just getting out of the team's own zone. Even Hamhuis-Johns, Patyern-Honka would be much better then the consistent failure of Hamhuis-Patyern.
Since I gave up on the season long time ago, i hope they just keep Pateryn-Hamhuis together and play them as many minutes per game as possible, it helps the team lose. Nothing is going to change with this team, the worst thing that can happen is to make the playoffs, they need to miss the playoffs.
This team is in a better position for long-term success then they were last year at this time. There's still much more that needs to be done.

The Stars would be smart to get out of Benn's deal now, some team would massively overpay for him and give up lots of pieces that can help the Stars improve next season. Of course they're not going to do it.

I agree about dumping Benn. He will never be the player he was. But, management is likely too committed now. Not just contractually, but publicly as they have essentially made him the new face of the franchise.

And of course all the morons on the FB page will hang themselves over FB live if he does get traded. Don't want to risk any lawsuits there.
