Remember how shitty and boring 90s hockey was? This is a lot like that.

I think that last minute of the 2nd period was 5 minutes.

The Stars are mostly dumping it in on the attack but never retrieving it (the fatigue I'm sure), so I don't have high hopes for this.

I wonder how long Hitch is going to try to make Benn/Seguin/Ritchie work.

I guess they're hoping that one goal Ritchie scored will somehow turn him into a regular goal scorer.

It doesn't really matter how good your defense, and your goalie are when your offense is none existence

Lehtonen played lights out in this one, I have to admit. He gave them a chance to win.

He played well enough to get them points, but they couldn’t generate many quality scoring chances.

Nashville is at the top of the league for a reason. And that was without Josi or Turris. We hung with ‘em pretty good, mostly due to Kari.

Good on Lehtonen. The rest...well, Nashville has pretty much the best defense in the league. But even so, that was a pretty pathetic effort from the forward group.

Yes. Jere was great last night. Dude should have an award named after him.

I only caught the first two periods, and the teams actually looked fairly even. Slight edge to Nashville.

For the most part our big guns were content to just dump it in from the blue line all game. Third game in four nights, yadda yadda. Janmark and Dickinson and Smith were the only guys with any energy. You could really tell they miss Faksa, who is basically our de facto 2nd line center playing third line shutdown minutes.

Also, was it just me or was that like the worst ice I've ever seen? Pucks were jumping over sticks, both teams were straight-up whiffing all over the ice, etc. I wonder if Nashville purposefully keeps the ice chopped to *poo poo* just to pad their defensive game. I'm pretty sure Torts used to do that.

The ice was bad. A few guys wiped out without being touched. Klingberg bobbled the puck a couple of times.

Dickinson and Smith had energy because they barely touched the ice.
