Spezza was awful. At least twice, he took the puck from down low and turned to meekly stuff it right into Miller’s pad.

I'd put it on par with the Hudler own goal last year.

This was worse than Stefan missing the open net and leading to the goal against.

All the worker bees like Pitlick and Elie work really hard to force turnovers, then immediately pass the puck right back to the other team.

*f-bomb* these guys. They are making it hard to stay watching when they bring this type effort and play. It's draining to watch.

This sets things up well for tomorrow night. In the 3rd period, Klingberg played almost 12 minutes, Benn and Radulov played almost 11 minutes, and Seguin played almost 10 minutes. You can expect plenty of excuses about being tired.

Did anyone see Hitchcock after Roussel's second penalty? He said "That's a stupid *fargin'* penalty" on camera. lol

Tippett would be proud.

Back to back 5 on 3's with not one goal and then that abomination.

Perhaps we should be sellers at the deadline?

It didn't look all that bad. All five Stars were playing super aggressive and attacking the net, just like they're supposed to when down a goal late. Weird bounce, Getzlaf off to the races, and then an even weirder bounce about two inches above Bishop's glove (who was also playing it right by coming out). Even then, it took Getzlaf another move to corral the puck, settle it down and rifle it past Seguin.

I've seen at least 15-20 Brad Richards-caused shorties that were way worse.

What you're not seeing is the extended run of PP time preceding the goal against. It's the totality of it that makes it such a kick to the nuts.

I didn't watch any of the game, but seeing that SHG was enough. Again with Spezza blindly throwing it to the front of the net. You're in a 5 on 3 PP, you shouldn't blindly be throwing it anywhere. He should retire immediately.

This was the most frustrating game of the season, if not in the history of ever. It wasn't even a moral victory.

They're gonna need their calming Peacock after this one.

And just think, they get to lose again tonight. Except, this time they have the tired excuse.
