Re: 02/03 vs Minnesota
I love how the Stars are trolling Minnesota fans by having the retro night against the Wild.
In reality, Neal Broten and Dave Gagner were only Dallas Stars for a brief period. To me, they are North Stars, not Dallas Stars. I have also seen/read interviews with both hinting at the fact that they were not all that fond of Dallas.
Apparently, a Wild fan started a petition to have the North Stars retired numbers and logos sent back to Minnesota. I actually agree with that petition. That stuff doesn't belong in Dallas.

This argument again?
We were the North Stars. Deal with it.

Broten scored the first goal in Dallas Stars history and the player the Stars acquired from the Devils for him on February 27th, 1995, Corey Millen, was sent with Jarome Iginla to the Flames on December 19th, 1995 for Joe Nieuwendyk.
Gagner scored 32 goals in the Stars' first season in Dallas and one of the players acquired when he was traded to the Maple Leafs on January 29th, 1996 was Benoit Hogue, who had only two assists in the 1999 playoffs but they were both big ones:

Re: 02/03 vs Minnesota
If the Wild are willing to trade us draft picks for Broten's banner then I'm all for it. I don't really give a crap about the franchise, history, records or anything. I only care about the current team. I'd personally scratch the '99 team's names off the cup if it would help this year's team make it to the 2nd round.

I would just like some consistency. We hang banners for the Minny retired numbers, but not the Minny Campbell bowls or division championships.

I don't know what you are trying to argue. Are you saying that Neal Broten and Dave Gagner have great Dallas Stars legacies because one of them was traded for a crappy spare who was then included in a deal as a throw-in that gave us Joe Nieuwendyk?
Neal Broten was to the North Stars what Mike Modano was to the Dallas Stars. Dave Gagner spent a significant amount of his career in Minnesota.
Broten played for 1.5 seasons plus an additional half season before retiring in Dallas. Gagner played 2.5 seasons in Dallas.
And that doesn't even take into account the shortened 1995 season.
Those two are Minnesota North Stars. Not Dallas Stars.

Is this the 7th straight game facing a backup goalie?

He’s not been the power forward he was for a while. One off season of his was derailed with hip surgeries. The next saw him have abdominal surgery to fix a sports hernia. He’s not seemed to be as physical since then.

Just four more goals and this lead is safe.

It rattled around in there for a while. Clean slappers are the best. Then Ben cleans one up. F Minnesota.

23 goals to 4 goals in last 4 victories for the Stars is pretty incredible, however I wish we could use some of those extra goals when needed.

Just when I think we finally get some consistency, we go and torch two backup goalies in a row. It's like I don't even know this team anymore.

I wasn't arguing anything. Just pointing out the ties the two players you mentioned have to the Dallas Stars and the Stanley Cup they won.
The Flames had won the Pacific Division the season before the trade and they made the playoffs in 1996, as well. Iginla didn't make his NHL debut until the following season so, spare that he was, Corey Millen was the NHL veteran three-time 20-goal scorer they wanted in order to send Nieuwendyk to Dallas.
