Kari hasn't been that awful some of the time. If we only score like 30 goals, we should get to OT.

It's gonna take more than Kari to beat the Blues.

Honka sits again.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Going to be hard to win if you spend half the game short handed.

Jamie sure doesn't seem real interested in things like skating hard or puck handling. Probably needs 20 games on the 4th line like Spezza got for his funk.

Since the Stars haven't generating a single scoring chance this game, let's talk about the commercials for a moment. What's up with this Apple commercial that's running every tv timeout? White chick is frolicking down the street listening to music with her wireless Bluetooth ear buds when a black guy grabs her somewhat menacingly. Then she gives him one of her ear buds and he smiles and she starts dancing. Is this commercial suggesting that buying apple products prevents assault?

There’s your scoring chance. Too little too late, but it was there.

So the game plan is to wear out STL’s top players by forcing them to play special teams over and over. Smart.

I’d rather see him play, but I’m not going to pretend he’s all that great. The advanced stat nerds love him, but advanced stats have a way of overinflatinf numbers of low ice time third pair d-men.

We need to get Honka more ice time and highlight those skills so we can get a better return when he’s traded.

Milquetoast. So much for that 76mm contract, so far.

I’d rather see him play, but I’m not going to pretend he’s all that great. The advanced stat nerds love him, but advanced stats have a way of overinflatinf numbers of low ice time third pair d-men.

Stars are 7-2 when Honka is in the lineup. Whether he has played poor or not, the team is winning with him in the lineup.

Honka plays something like 11 minutes a night. Are you suggesting his role playing small minutes five on five against the opponent’s fourth line and his few minutes playing on an ineffective second PP unit are contributing factors to those wins?

He’s minus 2 with ZERO points in 9 games - against mostly non playoff teams. Great, keep putting him in. I’m for anything at this point.

The team looks like complete garbage for the majority of the games this season. Team can't pass the majority of the time, team can't score.

I don't care what he has done this season, Honka would help the team's offense out and the team's transition game. Play him every game the difference will be noticeable.
The Stars would be better off playing 7 D then playing scrubs like McKenzie.

But Troy, his corsiwik5v5TOIAV is close to 60. He’s a difference maker.

Replace said black guy will Al Franken, whoa. Remember all the Kevin Spacey love at Panther’s games last year. :Giggle:

I'm on JayBot's side.
It's addition by subtraction.
His poor play is less than the poor play by the guy who would have had his spot.
And Captain McKenzie needs to stay in Cedar Park to man the kids.

I thought we hung fairly well with the Blues. But the Stars just aren't to their level. Kari was very good given all the penalties. It was just too much.

Honka needs to play to have a chance. Hitchcock has probably crushed his spirit. But he's gonna have to get over that.

I take it the yellow laces are going to disappear without further comment from the team.
