Perhaps. But now would be a really good time to beat these assholes. They've been really annoying.

That Seguin kid is pretty good. Maybe even better than Faksa.

Why did Benn get an assist on that goal? Seguin intercepted the puck from the Colorado defender and then scored. Should've been unassisted.

Just five more goals and I'll feel comfortable with this lead.

Should probably put Bishop in for the 3rd.

I just fired the game up on my DVR. The picture is awful. Someone cranked the brightness up to 11. It makes the ice look like snow blindness and the green on the Stars jerseys is like some neon green.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

The road jerseys frequently look like *poo poo* to me on tv, but I can never tell if it's the lighting or the color balance on the camera or my tv or just a bad stream.

The Stars defensive play is strangely decent recently. WTF?

Took long enough to kick in, I guess. I mean it actually looked mediocre these past 4 or 5 games.

Seguin’s embrace of penalty killing has been impressive.

It’s also nice to see some depth scoring start to show up.

I'M SHOCKED! ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED!

The second of a back-to-back on the road against the Avs with Lehtonen in goal?

I still don't believe it, but I guess that's just karma for losing to the 'Canes and Panthers not too long ago.

Maybe what Hitch is saying explains other guys contributing some offense. They're no longer thinking about where to be as much.

I mean they really are playing a bit better defensively and it's noticeable. It's not like they're GREAT defensively or anything, but they've at least made themselves much more of a speed bump for the other teams.

Part of it is that our forwards actually come back now, so our d-men have someone to pass it to when they get the puck back there. That wasn't always the case last year.

I kind of miss it already. I’ve always imagined myself leisurely coasting through life the same way the forwards used to coast back into the D zone.

I think the new neon green jerseys have energized the team.

One good thing I’ve noticed is that the defenseman are actually aiming pucks on net instead of into opponents’ shin pads.

Other than that there just generally seem to be fewer mistakes, although nothing in particular stands out.

I think Pateryn has played really well, and based on ice time he might be considered one of our top 4 guys now.

Pateryn has been solid. It complicates matters, on the one hand, but solid is solid.

I agree, and I think they go together. The defensive responsibilities have become more habit and routine. They are better at it and also look more fluid in the offensive zone because they aren't playing so safe worrying about getting barked at over positioning.

I'll just play it safe and assume they'll start to suck defensively again.
