Also, the Stars are finally skating into the zone with possession instead of dumping and chasing. Shockingly, they have double the amount of shots as the Blackhawks and are doing much better in the zone.

Also, the Stars PP continues to get no results.

Still, overall a good game and a nice road win. Which is saying a lot for the Stars.

Jamie no points in 5 games. Must be a maintenance fortnight.

The 22 shots on goal the Blackhawks had marked the first time they'd had fewer than 30 in their last 16 games.

At the 29-second mark Patrick Kane spoke about how unacceptable it was that they had only 10 shots on goal in the first two periods and was then asked what he chalked that up to considering how well they'd been playing over the last couple of weeks:

That reporter sitting next to Kane looked awfully familiar. Turns out that she is Tracey Myers. She briefly did pre game and intermission broadcasts years ago for the Stars.

Was anything said on the broadcast about why Honka was scratched? I missed this one.

I didn't hear anything in particular. I figured it was because Oleksiak adds a much bigger physical impact. This being an important divisional game, Hitch wanted to physically wear them down. And Oleksiak did provide that in last night's game. He played well. It's also probably about keeping both in game ready condition. I know Hitch says he wants to find his 6, but having a speedster as an option and also a monster as an option isn't a horrible thing. I just don't want Honka to sit for extended periods.

I enjoyed how Oleksiak smashed Toews on that would-be-breakaway. Toews in general had a pretty shitty game.

I also enjoyed seeing Keith get Woywitka'd on the Elie and second Janmark goals. In fact, all four Stars goals were really pretty sweet.
