Make sure to keep an eye on Mathew Barzal. He’s a guy who was picked four spots after Denis Gurianov. While Gurianov struggles to produce anything but disappointment in the AHL, Barzal is wowing people in the NHL as a rookie.

Yeah, we really missed the *fargin'* boat on Barzal. He fell right into our laps after dropping out of the top-6, and we reached for Gurianov because of his lethal shot.

I mean, there's always going to be huge misses in every draft. 30 teams are kicking themselves for passing on Klingberg five times apiece. But I remember being STOKED when whoever it was in front of us passed on both Barzal and Kyle Connor...

Of course, Boston had the next three *fargin'* picks and didn't pick either one of those guys either.

I'm starting to wonder about our drafting ability.

Nill has been in charge of five drafts, and the Stars don't have even one every day NHL player to show for it.

That's not good.

It's okay. He's doing the Detroit thing of keeping them in the AHL for 20 years so they can develop.

The 2013 draft (Nichushkin) was brutal in terms of players we passed on for Nichushkin. Max Domi or Ryan Hartman could have been in Dallas.

Confident and creative Klingberg is so much fun to watch.

This is like those games early in the season where we utterly dominated but lost because we ran into a hot goalie, minus the hot goalie.

Hopefully Hitch keeps Klingz with Lindz the rest of the season. I guess Ruff really was right about that pairing after all. Huh.

Gagree they make a great pair. Then Methot can play with Honka.

Janmark had a great game tonight.

Isles are beating up the Blues tonight. 4-0, half a game to go.

I hear Hitch has him smoking cigars while hooked up to an IV of vodka during the intermissions.
