10/26 @ Edmonton

Postby Knives Out » Wed Oct 25, 2017 5:14 pm

Two shitty teams that pundits vastly overrated before the season started finally go at it!

Pundits called the Stars a bubble team. Looks like they were correct.

Same pundits picked Oilers to win the Western Conference because they have one specific player.

Kris Russell is a pretty good defenseman, you know.

As suggested the other day, Honka and Johns are out tonight

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I know Honka had a really rough game last time out, but I wouldn't scratch him for it. Everybody (except maybe Lindell) sucked. Same with the game before.

I do think he's played extremely tentatively this season. He looks nothing like he did last year or in preseason, when he would just straight-out take over the entire game. I suspect that's coaching.

I'm a Julie defender, but it's OK if he sits after the last game. But only 1 game.

"We know that we're going into a tough building to play in, and a hungry team that's kind of got off to not the best start," Bishop said. "So you know they're going to be champing at the bit. So we have to be ready and you kind of forget about the last game and get ready for the next one

These Oilers jerseys... they make my TV look like it’s in video game mode.

They get more and more orange with every season. And the shade of orange seems to get brighter too.
It's like the Pens crest getting bigger and bigger on the jersey.

Looks like Hitch saw how Ritchie is too slow to play with Benn and Seguin.

This is kinda like watching Lindy trying to figure things out, but with more cholestoral. Really the only improvement outside the goaltending has been special teams.

And Benn again with the first goal. Time to coast.

The way he pulled it almost into his skates and then scooped it top corner... he’s amazing.

Was that puck a member of the dissident Russian media? Because Radulov just murdered it.

An unscreened slap shot from the wall is not what we’re looking for from Spezza, Ludwig.

Hey guys, maybe don’t prevent your own goalies from doing his job.

Can you challenge for goalie interference if it's your own stupid French player interfering?

Pateryn seems to have no idea where to be. He kept ending up right where Hamhuis was.

Bishop sure struggles to track the puck behind the net sometimes.
