Pitlick is loads of fun. Didn't realize he was this good.

I don’t have anything interesting to say. I’m just posting because I feel like this thread needs more than two replies.

Bishop really bailed us out a few times, eh?

I bet he will only have to do that like 20 more times for us to win.

It’s weird watching a competent goalie. I’d forgotten what that was like.

Yeah we have a 4 goal lead despite giving up at least 10 premium quality chances so far.

Finally caught up on the DVR. Pretty awesome game. Tons of possession in their end.

Spezza is having his best game of the season. Good to see.

Klingberg keeps getting better each game. His swagger is back.

I understand there's no way to know if it really affected the play but the stick really was very obviously on Bishop's glove.

Shame Hitch wastes his challenge. He could have used it there on Hamuis for goalie interference.

To be fair, the last two are not on Bishop. The 2nd goal was interference and the 3rd was Hamhuis getting tied up with Bishop.

Pulling the goalie with over three minutes left seemed too soon given how the Canes have dominated the puck the last ten minutes.

This game goes to OT if Kari was in net. No doubt about it. Bishop was pretty awesome at the end.

Bishop is clearly a bit better than Kari.

What is also clear, though -- I'm sorry to say -- is that Kari wasn't the problem.

This team looks exactly the same as it always looked.

I wasn't that excited about the 4-0 lead frankly. It was unearned. We hadn't outplayed the Canes that much. We just hit some shots finally.

Benn's play in the waning seconds of the second period typifies this team. He had actually backchecked well all night. But then, he was kinda just lazy. It's only 1 chance, right? We have a 4 goal lead. Sorry. That was just unnecessary. From the captain no less. And the Canes had absolute zero momentum before that point.

The culture of this team needs to change and unless Hitch can someone do what other coaches have not, this will end the same as our other recent seasons. I don't care if Bishop is better. He's not Finals better.

It will take time for Hitch to crack the whip. Modano didn't look all that different for most of Hitch's time in the 95-96 season. It takes time to get the message across.

I'm sure Hitch blew a gasket in the locker room after the game. That was the worst win I have seen in a while.

The Stars would have lost in regulation if Kari had been in net. lol

Stars looked better than ever thru pretty much two periods. And they did let up, with a 4 goal lead. We got two points. Good enough for game 8.

So what are the rules on the challenge now? I thought since they lost they'd get a penalty. Is the first one a loss of time out then it goes to a penalty?

So, challenging goalie interference is still the way it was. Weird.

Also, they got the call wrong. Skinner definitely interfered with Bishop's glove.

Did the Stars win three in a row at any point last season?

I don't think they did. I'm pretty sure our max was 2 and it only happened twice?

The only time was December 23rd - 29th when they beat the Kings 3-2 in Dallas on Esa Lindell's overtime goal, beat the Coyotes 3-2 in Glendale and beat the Avalanche 4-2 in Dallas.

They won consecutive games four other times: at Calgary and at Edmonton in November, against the Sabres and Maple Leafs in Dallas at the end of January, at Florida and at Washington in early March and against the Sharks in Dallas and a Tyler Seguin power-play goal in overtime at New Jersey three weeks later.
