His second of three goals (his last one was an empty-netter) in the Oilers' 3-0 win:

Niemi with 4 goals on 13 shots in less than half a period for Pitt. Unfortunately against Chicago.

Pens getting owned 10-1. So far this season is going swimmingly.

Loved watching me some Pens hockey.
They've given up 15 goals in 2 games so far.
Hopefully that trend continues.

That was all on Niemi. If an even half-way competent backup starts that game, the Pens only lose like 5 or 6-1.

He was kinda left to dry on three of those four. Probably had a small chance on the 2-on-1 that was terribly played, but... really, those ten goals were mostly on the Pens' D. Letang alone was a -5.

The Pens D probably folded up because they knew it was hopeless with Niemi in net. lol

Aren't they usually worse when Letang is on the ice?

In addition to getting rid of a ton of their best players for absolutely nothing this summer (and not signing Jagr), the Panthers just did this thing where they pulled the goalie in the final minute... and forgot to put a new guy on the ice for the first half of a power play.

This is why the Pens won't 3-peat.
Murray won't be able to handle a full load (just like the past two seasons) and Fleury isn't there to bail him out anymore.
LOL Niemi.

Ovechkin has hat tricks in each of his first two games.

Ruff is coaching the Rangers defense, they allowed 8 goals tonight after losing to Colorado in their first game.

All three of his goals in the first game were scored in the third period and he also scored a goal in the shootout.
Tonight he scored three goals in the first period and a fourth goal in the second period.

Wow. He's twice as good as Fabian Brunnstrom.

Mark Streit already waived by the Habs.
Peter DeBoer in San Jose is the odds on favourite to be the first coach fired this season.
Cap issues are forcing the Wild to play with 11 forwards while Parise and Granlund are out.
