I didn't expect the Stars to be so high on the list.

Isn't Alzner the one who is so broken he couldn't open a jar of peanut butter without his wife helping him?

Niemi gave up seven goals last night.

In three games this season, Niemi has a 7.49 goals against and a .798 save percentage.

As we all saw last season, he's the worst goalie in the NHL, and Kari was only barely better than him last season.

Why was Niemi able to win a cup with Chicago? Was he somewhat more serviceable back then? I can't remember.

Those numbers are like Darren Puppa numbers from the early Tampa years. Wow.

He was on the most loaded team of the salary cap era.

Niemi was also good in a San Jose for several season. He’s a smaller goalie who saw his reflexes and mobility decline with age. It’s why San Jose didn’t want to give him another contract, yet Nill traded for his rights to be first in a line of one to pay him to take over as the starter.

Niemi placed on waivers by Pittsburgh. No real surprise there.

No way anyone picks him up. Even the worst team in 1980 wouldn't sign him.

I'm continually amazed about Phil Kessel being a pro athlete.

The Avs traded Duchene. Since it happened during the game, Duchene had to leave the game. That's rare.

Three way trade, which is also rare.

Colorado sends Matt Duchene to Ottawa.

Ottawa sends Kyle Turris to Nashville.

Ottawa sends Shane Bowers (Ottawa’s first rounder this summer), Andrew Hammond (29 year old AHLer), 1st, and 3rd to Colorado.
Nashville sends 2nd, Sam Girard (drafted in the second round last year), and Kamenev (prospect) to Colorado.
