As much as we *poo poo* on Bishop for not playing as well as we had hoped, his numbers are actually pretty good.
That Hanzal's so hurt right now.

A lot of that is Faksa being *fargin'* awesome. DBD did a short little write up on him:

Lehtonen is fourth in the NHL in GAA at 2.22. He has the same save percentage as Bishop .919%.

The Stars remaining schedule is brutal. We are gonna know how good they really are soon.

I'm all for keeping him as the backup at a reduced rate if this keeps up. At least for another couple of years.

This one feels like a playoff game. I hope it's a good one.

Poor Seguin. Every time Hitch breaks up the first line, he takes Radulov away from Seguin.

Elie and Janmark are as fast as a buttered-up goose sliding down a pond of frozen WD-40. They should fit well with Seguin.

The salary cap is expected to go up next season. Maybe by $5 million or so. The question is which player gets bought out to eat up that cap space. Spezza or Hanzal?

Trade Spezza, buyout Hanzal. God, what a waste of money Hanzal has been.

Trade Spezza to which team? $7.5MM cap hits aren't exactly the easiest thing to move.

Spezza's contract is a tough one to trade because his salary cost is as high as his cap hit. Poor teams chasing the cap floor have no use for those contracts.

Can't we just claim breach of contract since we signed what we thought was a number 2 center and actually have a bag of nothing? I feel that is fair and should make the contract null and void.

If they promise him a front office job for the next 10 years, can they entice him retire early?

The thing with Hanzal is always he's injured all the time. When he's in the lineup he's good.
I don't think you buyout either one. Hanzal is more valuable then Spezza.

We also average a full extra goal per game with him in.

Counterpoint: Methot and Pateryn are slightly larger.

Bishop started both losses to the Jets in November and allowed three goals in the first period of each.

If you bet on 32 at the roulette table and it magically hits, is it really prudent to throw down on 32 again on the very next spin?
