ESPN bloodbath

Postby StarsFaninCO » Wed Apr 26, 2017 2:01 pm

Lots of names.. Anyone heard about Mark?

Actually, I guess he's at NHL/Stars not ESPN/stars.
When seconds count, the police are just minutes away.
80 Million gun owners didn't kill anyone yesterday.
37,000 of those gun deaths annually are suicides. Problem solved.
The NCVS yields there are approximately 100,000 defensive gun uses each year.

ESPN did fire their hockey writers. It means their website isn't going to have anything hockey related other than boxscores and AP game reports.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I've stopped reading the Dallas Morning News because of this too. Why would I pay for something I get for free elsewhere?

Turns out ESPN couldn't survive without a legitimate message board attached to it.

I haven't really looked at the website in a long time. I usually have SC on in the background when I'm working late. Sucks for anyone to go through a layoff scenario, but it happens to everyone at some point.

Its not just the writers. Lots of on-air talent getting the axe. Lots of those folks are really one-sport experts. Obviously, original content is going to suffer. Buccigross apparently still has a job, but that may just be because his contract is up soon.

LeBrun was the biggest one for hockey, but he's still going to work for RDS and TSN.
List of people let go.

I hope it survives. Where else am I going to turn to for highlights of tall people shoving balls through baskets over and over and over and over again on practically identical looking plays?
