Brian Campbell retired and is joing the Hawks front office in some sort of marketing role.

Patrick Sharp may be unrestricted free agent this summer, but there’s “zero chance” of a reunion with the Blackhawks for next season, according to 670 The Score’s Jay Zawaski.

I read that VICE recently shut down their UK operation as well. They must be bleeding cash, which is too bad because I love their content. I watch the weekly HBO series regularly, and I've even started watching their nightly news program, which is much better than any network news.

Tortorella awarded for winning the Jack Adams and coaching the Blue Jackets to a franchise best record with a 1-year extension LOL.

Doesn't he tend to wear out his welcome quickly because he's such an asshole? That's probably why.

Apparently Jagr was initially promised a contract offer from the Panthers before they reneged on a deal.
He was told after the season that he would have a new deal brought to him after the Vegas Expansion Draft, but an offer never came.

This was due to the hiring of head coach Bob Boughner and an internal mandate given to spend less than $65 million for 2017-2018.

The Panthers shed $5.75 million in the expansion by shipping Reilly Smith and Jonathan Marchessault to the Golden Knights and saved another $2.7 million in cap space by buying out Jussi Jokinen. Jagr made $4 million on a one-year deal last year and the Panthers currently have a salary total of $64.1 million for the upcoming season.

Awful.

The Panthers are a weird organization. It's like they realize they are starting to become good and think they have to blow it all up before they become a contender.

Getting rid of four of your best players is a solid strategy.

It's not like Andreychuk who clearly couldn't keep up anymore. Jagr is still an above average player at 45. He's a good signing if your club doesn't entirely rely on speed.

The only thing Jagr is bad at is moving fast. By all metrics (fancystats, regularstats, and eyeball tests), Jagr is still a very effective top-6 player.

He decided to just randomly chirp up about the National Anthem? Very timely.

Milbury is easily the worst GM of all-time. What a moron.
