Have these broadcasts been terrible or what? Pierre and Edzo's bias has been over the top even for them, Doc is as insufferable as ever, and Mike Milbury is the Ted Cruz of hockey.

Actually these playoffs have been fairly lame. The first round was pretty exciting, but they have gone down hill since. Nashville is the strongest team, but they are being beat by Pittsburgh, who clearly is used up.

That's actually usually how it is. The first round is awesome, and each round gets progressively less awesome. At the end, it's a slog.

Unless your team is in it. Then it's always nail biting.

In years past, even last year with Pittsburgh, the teams get better as the rounds progress, not always each series, but the teams improve. It's cool to watch a team take over. Thought that might be Nashville this year, as their D is awesome sauce, but not looking like it. Tall order to overcome a 2 game deficit.

TSN wrote:On his fight with Malkin, Subban said he took offence to a comment Malkin made in Russian and decided to drop the gloves.

“He speaks a little bit of Russian, but I play with some Russians too,” Subban said. “I didn’t like what he said, so I said something back to him and we went.”

Malkin, however, appeared to see things differently and said after the game that he was willing to forgive Subban for the defenceman's role in the fight.

“It’s a bad fight,” Malkin said. “We hold each other for a minute. I don’t want to fight with Subban. He approached me after the whistle, and I’m upset and I come to him and Subban come to me. It’s fine, I forgive him.”

Prosecutors have dropped the charges filed against a Tennessee man who threw a catfish onto the ice in Pittsburgh during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

You left out the best part, the statement from Pittsburgh's mayor about this:

This has turned into a whale of a story. From my perch, I agree with Mayor Barry that we shouldn't be baited into interfering with this fish tale, but if the charges eventually make their way to a judge I hope the predatory catfish hurler who got the hook last night is simply sentenced to community service, perhaps cleaning fish at Wholey's.

I'd appreciate the many chants Nashville has if every one wasn't built around "you suck."

It's also weird to rely on "you suck" this late in the playoffs. Clearly, nobody really sucks.

2 days between games for all of these last 3 games. Can we just get this crappy Stanley cup final over with?

I just want to hurry up and get to this offseason and be disappointed by the lack of trades and signings that I've been promised.

I hope Evgeni Malikin scores at least 4 goals in the next game. I put a bet on it and if he scores at least 5 goals, then I will get a free boat.

Although I agree that the two day waiting period is dumb and frustrating,
the games have been awesome so far though!

But confirmed. We need the periodic confirmation.

I understand the past tense, though. It's easy to slip into that.
