Not a bad choice for a team expected to suck anyways.

4 writers did a mock expansion draft and only two of them had a Stars player being plucked.
That player both times was Johns.

Raanta and Grubauer seem to be the consensus goalie picks.
No mention of Darling.

Man would I take any of those three in a heartbeat.

I can't see Johns being exposed, even as bad as he was this year.

I thought they were REQUIRED to take 1 player from each team. Also I think Johns will be protected. Figure it's either Roussel or Hamhuis that will be taken by Vegas. Eakin might be left unprotected, but I doubt it.

Eakin SHOULD be left unprotected. Why are we still spinning our wheels with that guy?

You're right. Either those writers are hacks or it was an incomplete list.

And as much as he hurts us sometimes I really don't want to lose Antoine.

It really really should be Eakin.

I believe Darling is UFA (or maybe RFA), so he wouldn't be on any expansion list.

If I were Vegas, I'd totally take Johns. But if he's protected, like he should be, then I'd take Hamhuis.

I saw Hamhuis showed up for the press conference. I assume that means he's coming back and they'll protect him

Yeah, it's easy to forget that Hamhuis made Team Canada in 2014 for Sochi where Hitch was assistant coach.
He's certainly dropped off since then.

Yeah. Johns is kind of like Derian Hatcher to me. Hatcher sucked balls for several years until the Hitch regime. Maybe Hitch can work the same magic with Johns.

4.5 per for some Russian scrub?

Jeez, maybe pawning Kari off so that they can reach the cap floor isn't just a pipe dream.
