(Las) Vegas Golden Knights
This live streaming of the Las Vegas unveiling is a giant clusterfuck.

Re: Las Vegas Golden Knights
Congrats on having the most words in one team name.
The max should be three. If your city name is two words, you cut that *poo poo* down to one short word like Kings or Sharks.
EDIT: apparently they will be going by Vegas Golden Knights

They will play in the Pacific division as of next season.
Their expansion draft will take place from June 18–20, 2017, with the selections being announced on June 21, 2017.
Shitty logo and jersey pics to follow at some point.

Why the delay in announcing the expansion draft results? How odd.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Re: (Las) Vegas Golden Knights
There's no way either goalie gets claimed. It's probably going to be Roussell or Eakin. No one else the Stars will have to expose is a player any expansion team would want.

I believe the Stars are required to protect one goalie.

Obviously they'll protect Bishop. Wouldn't want to lose our Cup-winning goalie for nothing.

Assistant GM Mark Janko: Jim, I'm trying to fill out the expansion form like you asked, and "Seriously, call us. We'll protect whichever one you tell us to," won't fit on the form. It has to be a name.
Assistant GM Mark Janko: The league office called. They told me "Above, Noneofthe" isn't an acceptable name.

There's gotta be a loophole around this. Just call up Derosiers and protect him.

Don't think he is eligible to be taken. Lagacé would be the option to protect.

Big Ben (and all UFA's) related question, he becomes a UFA on July 1st, the VGK expansion draft is before that in late June ...
How do you claim a guy with no contract? You own his rights but then he can *f-bomb* off and sign wtih anyone a week later?

Found my own answer and it's sketchy and convoluted as per the NHL:

Re: (Las) Vegas Golden Knights
I saw some post on FB that was a mock draft for the Knights and the player they had them taking from the Stars was Brett Ritchie. Apparently they haven't watched any Stars games.

Makes sense. Didn't the guy who always signed his posts claim that Ritchie was the greatest Knight of all time

Vegas should totally do this for their opening game, but with middle-aged dads who've blown everything at the roulette table instead of fish:
