I shall be present, down in 117, if anyone cares to stop by and/or hurl things at me.

Anaheim's best d-man and their best young power forward are still in Sweden with no contract. So, that's pretty much a wash with no Janmark/Hemsky.

Plus our best goalie is still in Tampa with a contract.

The Ritchie brother match. May the oldest one win.

So we don't play in Anaheim's division, and I still feel like I hate Anaheim with a passion. Weird but true.

Same here.

I no longer hate the Sharks, tho, which feels weird.

As long as they have Perry and Getzlaf, they will be supremely hated.

I think we strangely matched up really well with the Sharks last season. So that might alleviate my dislike. The Blues were our kryptonite, but we had some weird games with the Ducks as well.

Yeah, now it's more of an "Oh you goofy Sharks LOL" vibe.
I guess I hate the Wild the most now out West.

I wanted the Sharks to win last year myself. I wouldn't mind seeing Thornton/Marleau win a cup before they retire. Not at our expense, though.

Niemi gets the nod tonight. Good call.

I still hope Kari gets booed to shreds when he finally does start.

Since management didn't seem to care enough about solving what the entire hockey world knows, we need to ride that fat clown out of town ourselves.

The Stars tried to give the starting job to Niemi last season also, but he wasn't good enough to take it.

Yeah but he's been the lesser of two evils since day one.

At this point I'd feel more confident with 6 skaters and the net empty.

Oh and the good call comment was in reference to Kari's game 7 performance still being so fresh in our minds; not about ability LOL.

That LOL was a kneejerk reaction. I'm actually pretty pissed off and frustrated already without us having played a single game yet. People will probably mistake Pete and I for twins by April.

I stopped being pissed about it when it became clear Gaglardi wasn't going to pony up the cash to buy one of these guys out.

It is moronic if they don't find a way to address it. We are literally one average goaltender away from a 4 year dynasty....

I like the way you think.

Well, at least we have 3 more years to address the problem after this.

Tonight I'll finally get to see how good/bad the Stars look on FSSW through Sling TV. I'll be experiencing the highs and lows of the game a full minute later than everybody else.

And two defensemen. And really probably a coach too, if we're being honest.

Hire Cindy Crawford to be your spokesperson.

Film commercial in ultra low def.

Brilliant use of money.
