...it looks like Spezza has one amazing year, then takes the next one off, then has a great year, then mails it in again. So next season we should be good again!
So if Spezza scored at the same rate as last year, he should have 31 goals by now, which would be 19 more goals than he does have. The stars are 36 goals short of the pace the scored at last year. So he does for sure account for 53% of the shortfall of goals.
Shockingly it turns out that not having a number one center scoring goals is a detriment to the team. Well, I guess Seguin is a Center too (sometimes), but still.
