Yes. He was great at holding back Zubov from being the greatest defenseman of all-time because he was too busy cleaning up for Sydor's lack of hockey talent.

I've actually said many times before that Sydor would be a good coach. He just has to pop in his own career highlight tape, point at the TV, and say "don't do that."

Let's just hire Gallant or MacLean and be done with it.

I'll do it. I'll do it for cheap too.

That North Stars legacy left Minnesota and kept growing in Texas two decades ago. You’ve got a Wild legacy of your own to keep cultivating. Embrace it, nurture it, celebrate it, and everyone will be happy.

This is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have read in a long time. The North Stars history belongs in Minnesota.

They are wrong about the Jets jerseys too. Jets history belongs in Winnipeg, not Phoenix.

I stopped reading at exactly this mark:

"Jordie Benn has been arguably one of the most effective trade-deadline pickups this year,"

Hudler and Hemsky's seasons are done. Maybe careers, too.

I'll get rolling on Hemsky's Hall of Fame induction party. I assume they're going to waive the usual waiting period for his induction?

What are their problems/injuries? Hemsky looked pretty good there, just a few games ago.

When Hemsky sat out the other night, it was described as a hip issue. Not sure if it was the same hip or even the same problem that cost him most of the season.

Lots of Stars seem to have hip problems. I blame the bossa nova.

And Eaves. Eaves had the best season of all of them.

Seguin had a good season. Slowed a bit to start with injury, but he produced.

I think Seguin had a bad season. He only finished 15th in scoring, and that's with playing all 82 games. For a guy who plays no defense and gets the choice ice time he does, he needs to produce more.

I'm actually a bit disappointed with the player he's become. He has all the skill in the world, but he sure seems to struggle with the physical game and those tougher areas of the ice. He can make up for his shortcomings by running up points on the PP, but I'm not sure he can ever be the guy you fear every time he's on the ice.

This may have been an effort thing once the season was already lost, but I didn't see a whole lot of speed out of Tyler this year, and I thought he may have been the fastest guy on the team before the Achilles injury.

Hitchcock will be just what he needs to become the two-way, gritty checker that Modano became.
