You'll see, Nill's decision to wait until the off season to fire Ruff and bring back Whiteboard Willie is going to pay off when we go undefeated all the way to the Cup.

This might be one of the best Players tribune articles ever:

The most surprising part of that article is that Kris Draper can read or write.

Unless of course he dictated the entire thing and someone else published the article.

I actually don't like the writing style on most of those articles. They never just tell the story, they have to pump it up with someone being the best or every player they face is awesome or they came from being a scrawny kid to the NHL. If the story has interesting parts, those will come out. Don't force this *poo poo*. Really, it's just very NHL, where no one can criticize anyone else and all the other players are always awesome. Seriously Draper, it would be okay to call Lemieux a piece of *poo poo*.

One of my favorite memories was Larry Robinson literally cutting the letter off of Lemieux's sweater during a playoff game with Devils back in the way. Very Sons of Anarchy lol.

Why would the Hurricanes be advertising a Florida vs. Tampa matchup?

Baby Tkachuk is pretty nasty. He got two games for this hit on Doughty. He might consider himself fortunate.

It has happened a handful of times this year, but I'm amazed when I see an instance of defense or goaltending that's worse than ours.

Listen man, a one handed back hander is still sweet despite it being against the Sabres.

Larry Hagman was the greatest "Dallas" Star of all-time.

DGB had a great write-up of the big Avs-Red Wings fight from 20 years ago:

The best part? Guess how many penalty minutes were handed out in total.

So Crosby chopped off some lucky dude's finger last night. No penalty on the play.

Crosby should be allowed to slash as many Methot calibre players as he wants.

And Ho-Sang should not be allowed to wear #66 that little *poo poo* (even though Mario says he's okay with it).

I have always wondered why 66 wasn't retired league-wide like 99 was. Lemieux is as great as Gretzky in my eyes. Especially considering he lost that time due to cancer.

68 deserves a look as well.

Don't the Dallas Stars hold the rights to all of the North Star logos?

That said, I still think we should pack up all the North Star history and ship it north. The North Star banners should be hanging there, not in Dallas.
