I think Nill was waiting to capitalize on the increased value of the Oleksiak family name thanks to the Olympics. The man is a genius. I expect this deal to get done any day now.

We have confirmation that this is a done deal just the very moment that it's a done deal.

Yes, because I knew the rest was about Bishop getting traded here and I didn't need to see anything past that.

Coach Jon Cooper said he initially thought his big goalie was OK. “Then our trainer came to the bench and he opened his hand and I couldn’t believe how big Ben’s teeth actually are,” he added with a laugh.

You know what they say about guys with big teeth.

Perfect timing. Right when we can't score or defend.

Not sure if you guys have noticed but Big Ben has been strug-a-ling as of late.
his current stats:

7-8-0
3.04 GAA
.902 SV%
0 shutouts

He definitely needs a change of scenery. BUY LOW! BUY LOW!

Niemi has been lights-out in his last four games. A straight-up swap with Tampa seems the prudent thing to do.

If only that were possible. And then buy out Glass Fatso and we'd good. Too logical.

This season is so shitty I'm not longer even that concerned about our goaltending.

It could that our goalies are actually excellent, bu poor coaching has been holding them back.

Last night the NHL talking head (only one), was more positive about the Stars. Praising our young D, Lindell, Honka and Johns. And even saying that Dallas should make the playoffs this season. (At the expense of Edmonton, btw). But, there's always a but, our goaltending sucks and we need Bishop, pronto.

Does it? I'm back to feeling like goaltending isn't our problem.

No, goaltending isn't our worst problem. When you look at the stats, you would think it is, but watching the games, the goals against are not softies let in at the worst time, like last season.

Goaltending is the most annoying problem because Nill did nothing to fix it.

Defense was a problem in the playoffs, but at least you can say Nill tried something. Maybe it wasn't a good something, but it was something.

Really, our goaltending is probably good enough to do some serious damage. We were really just a Tyler Seguin injury away from making the Conference Finals. As bad as that Game 7 was, the games before it our goalies looked perfectly serviceable. And they looked significantly better than 2016 Vezina darlings Crawford (.907, 2.54 GAA), Lundqvist (.867, 4.39 GAA), and even Dubnyk (877, 3.34).
