Thirteen total goals and Val wasn’t on the ice for any of the 9 for or 4 against. And he played 14 minutes. That’s amazing.

Forsberg?

Anyone else pretty sure it’s just Bertuzzi pulling off the lamest name disguise of all time? Does Bortuzzo wear a mustache and spectacles too? Hmmm.

I think after he’s suspended this new guy named Burtuzza is going to show up.

The Nashville predators placed Arvidsson on the Injury Reserved list.

They also signed Donald Brashear and Todd Bertuzzi to a one day contract on november 25 for tonight's game against the St-Louis Blues. According to some local media, they also filed to proceed for a special exhumation of Derek Boogaard, also for tonight's game.

They do, but not to the extent he's calling for. He's saying make it a bigger fine than just lost salary for suspended games.

Tard Bortuzzo would be a great reddit handle.

Everyone who was a mean coach 20 years ago better watch their back.

Is Mike Keenan still in the game? If not can someone hire him then suspend him and conduct an investigation?

And then who's next? I put 2 bucks on Tortorella, Hitch and Therrien. If the witch hunt crosses the Atlantic, all czech and russian coaches will be on the line to lose their jobs.

I know for sure Hitch is on the chopping block. That guy scratched Benoit Hogue in front of all of his family members he bought tickets for, I think it was against the Islanders. I'm sure he did far worse things we don't know about.

Here's the useless graph of the day: The race to the playoffs. I plotted all Central teams in format of a walk (+1 for a win, 0 for an OT/SO loss, -1 for a regulation loss). In fact it shows the number of games above/under ,500.

I put the playoffs threshold at +15 (97 pts).

WPG, STL, DAL started to pick-up points after a slow start (at some different extent).
COL started strong, but I think you can match the drop start with Rantanen's injury
CHI stays meh all the time
MIN is recently piling some points, but it won't be enough at the end.

Well, screw the other Central teams, here's the same graph with the Stars' previous seasons vs. the current one. Green lines are those where the Stars made the playoffs as opposed to red ones.

Interesting to see that the second-best regular season translated to non-participation to the postseason, thank to the fatal 7-game losing streak at the end. So let's remain above this red line and we will be fine.

Apart from one good year and one bad year, that’s some remarkably consistent mediocrity.

I heard the HNIC peeps saying Seabrook has some nagging injuries he’s continued to play thru, and the team wants to take care of that. And I’m saying, Robidas Island here he comes.

While not central related. What is the deal with Kovalchuk? His contract was cancelled? Is that allowed? What about his cap hit? Plenty of teams have contracts they would like to cancel if you know what I mean, and I know that you do.

They mutually agreed to terminate. I believe the Kings eat the cap hit.
