Scrolling through this thread quickly, I thought I saw that Jason had posted the ISIS prospect rankings.

If we don't get a beheader specialist, I really hope we get one of those guys who chops up people's kids and feeds them to their mom.

We need a scrappy bottom pairing social media strategist. It's not the most glamorous position, but it's a key cog.

So, I'm in Erie, PA. Turned on the TV to find the Erie Otters playing with Conner McDavid starring.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Too bad he's going to waste the first half of his career in Buffalo.

I'd rather be in Arizona. At least you can golf the pain away in the hot sun.

April 18th

Ken Campbell of The Hockey News: Multiple sources saying that the NHL won’t televise the draft lottery live, but they will video the entire process and they will make available to the public. The NHL has televised the results live in the past, but sources saying that there is so much at skate, the NHL wants everyone to be able to see the process unfold so that there are no accusations of impropriety.

That is literally the dumbest thing ever uttered in human history.

I hope they go back to having an old Canadian guy awkwardly opening envelopes to read the lottery order.

So we are not drafting in the top 10, so I guess I don't need to worry about that list.

The Stars need goaltending help. Maybe picking a goalie in the first round is a good idea.

One or two of those guys will fall out of the top ten. Hopefully McDavid.

With the way the Stars bring goalies along, it's not a bad idea. The guy drafted in a couple of months might be ready to assume a small backup role in 2027, a couple of years after Campbell finally assumes the starting job.

Good list, but I'd switch 8 and 9.

Just kidding. Never heard of anyone on the list.

Svechnikov is a pretty awesome name. I'd draft him on that alone.

Kirk is my wife's cousin, if that's the dude writing for the new england hockey journal. He's a good dude. He was wrong about Seguin though!

Ok, now that I've finally read about some of the guys that might fall to us at 12, I'm hoping it's either Barzal or Konecny.

Barzal would be like picking Nishushkin again (or Forsberg 2): a one-time consensus #3 guy (behind McDavid and Eichel) who had one badly-timed injury, and saw a bunch of other dudes eclipse him in the rankings. I really doubt he'll fall to us, but then again, a lot of the 11 teams in front of us are kinda stupid and prone to dumb decisions.
