"We're very interested in Jagr," HC Neftekhimik general manager Rail Yakupov said Tuesday.

Something tells me that interest is not reciprocated.

Eric Cole officially retired today. Only a Star for a short time, but he did net us Janmark. And a second round pick, just looked it up, Roope Hintz. Thank you very much. Imma send him a Best Wishes note.

I'm very happy that the article gave me his wife's name (Hilary Rhoda) because then I got to see her naked online :)

Time to move any Nichushkin talk here because he's flaming out in the KHL and is looking more and more like a dude who will never see the NHL again. 11 games played and he's got all of 4 goals and no assists. He's also been demoted to CSKA's fourth line a few games. He's tied for 10th in scoring on his team. His KHL contract expires this summer, and my guess is Nill won't bother making him an offer to return.

4 goals in 11 games is a 30-goal pace.

The no assists things is by far the biggest problem with his game. He doesn't work well with others. Or at all really. He's just an all or nothing solo guy who is usually nothing.

Disagree. He cycles the puck in the corners really well, tiring out defenders, and seemed very capable of sending crisp passes to wide-open teammates in front of the net from there.

Hopefully he's mailing it in in the KHL so they rip up his contract, and he can re-join us here sooner than later.

He's a play ender usually.

He is fully capable of doing that with his big frame, but unlike a Morrow or Lagenbrunner or Lethinen in their prime he doesn't often emerge from those corners with possession or a decent play to the next guy.

Just the kind of attitude this team needs.

If he is mailing it in, this is just another reason not to bring him back. He seemed to mail it in while he was here too. Hitchcock would just scratch his ass anyway.

Punting. That's the term you are looking for. Passing the puck to Val is the equivalent of voluntarily surrendering possession to your opponent on their end of the playing surface.

He probably just would have injured himself if he tried to kill a flight attendant.

Gross. It looks somebody frankensteined Ken Hitchcock's legs onto Jordie Benn's torso.

Hemsky was a healthy scratch for a team that has been outscored 10 to 3 in three games.
