The refs should be embarrassed. Both lost sight of the puck and let play continue.

Darryl Sydor would have told her he was too busy and that "those are the breaks, lady..."

From what I heard, the line for authographs for Langenbrunner were out the door and around the corner. Its great that the fan base stilll welcomes and recognizes the players from 1999/2000, but the Stars really need new heroes (which really only comes through some level of playoff success) to keep the sport growing here!

Morrow became too concussed to do public appearances :(

But don't worry because I can totally see Jamie doing autographs near the Giant Eyeball one day.

I'm going to stick this here since he was a former Stars coach. I listened to the Craig Custance Full60 podcast with Mike Valley on The Athletic this weekend. Valley's a pretty interesting dude. He really is more of an entrepreneur than a coach at heart, and that is kind of what he is back doing now. He talked a bit about Jack Campbell and the mental aspects of goaltending. I think he mainly thought Campbell started trying too hard, and then got in a downward mental spiral. Unfortunately, Valley wasn't the one to really pull him out of that spiral, but he's still real high on his abilities.

Seems odd. He's not that old and still looks like he has legs out there even if he isn't scoring like he used to.

Speaking of thirds, I agree with Seguin. Make the third jersey next year the 93-94 jerseys. They look sharp.

I guess that’s encouraging. I still wouldn’t put money down on him ever playing again though.

I’m still glad he got a big contract after he spent a career getting lowballed because of his many injuries.

It was such perfect timing.

Oettinger > Eaves could become the new Fowler > Campbell

Is Eaves the one former player that no one hates? That’s essentially a superpower.

It’s because he overachieved here, wasn’t overpaid, left on reasonable terms, and was generally a good guy.

My two best friends growing up are Sens fans and they used to refer to him as "my boy Eaves."

Huh. I just discovered this. Well *poo poo*.

77) Jake Guentzel - Pittsburgh Penguins (from Minnesota via Philadelphia and Dallas)*

*The Minnesota Wild's third-round pick went to the Pittsburgh Penguins as the result of a trade on March 24, 2013, that sent Joe Morrow and a fifth-round pick in 2013 to Dallas in exchange for Brenden Morrow and this pick (being conditional at the time of the trade). The condition – Pittsburgh will receive the lower of either Edmonton or Minnesota's previously acquired third-round picks, via Dallas – was converted on April 21, 2013. Dallas previously acquired this pick as the result of a trade on February 16, 2012, that sent Nicklas Grossmann to Philadelphia in exchange for Los Angeles' second-round pick in 2012 and this pick.

Somehow always helping out the Penguins.

Most commentators and the Penguins themselves are now considering Oleksiak a top-four defenseman.

Is Jack Campbell the next Martin Jones for the Kings?

https://theathletic.com/447430/2018/07/ ... the-kings/

So hey, turns out Campbell might be a decent goalie and - shocker - the Stars might not have developed him properly.

I wish Gaglardi would just clean house with all the scouts and all the development staff.

Seriously. Drain the swamp.
