That was basically a panic signing by them after losing Radulov. Sort of like us getting Turgeon back in the day.

The Habs still have $8 million in cap space too LOL.

If only cap space could score goals.

Make that 13 to 4 in four games.

Free from the pressure of an 8 man D roster, he becomes to the player we thought we had.

Well, it's not like we were holding on to 8 d-men because they all suck.

3 were of the meh variety. So meh they couldn't be traded, but not meh enough to clear waivers.

But having 8 dmen meant two were a scratch each game. That kind of sucks for a younger Dman and it does put a lot of pressure on a player. So maybe having that pressure lifted enabled Nemeth to flourish.

Or maybe playing for a terrible team reduces the pressure.

I'm not really going to lament the loss of a guy who couldn't beat out Pateryn for a roster spot. I'm not even sure that's how you spell Pateryn's name.

I mean, we all knew the hockey gods would need payment after granting him a healthy season.

Sucks, though. I love Eaves.

I wonder if his was caused by a C. jejuni infection. If so, they should test the entire team.

Do the Panthers need to hit the cap floor? What the hell is going on here?

Also, the Rangers put Cracknell on waivers.

I think the Panthers are actively tanking. They brought in a group that brought in a bunch of players based on fancystats, and actually made the playoffs, then fired everyone and got rid of all the fancystat players.

But they’re currently in the playoff picture.

Oh, now I see why they got Niemi.

Still waiting for the 6-1 Vegas Golden Knights to wake up, realize this tankjob isn't working, and trade for Kari.

22. Turgeon told an interesting story about joining the St. Louis Blues at age 27. He used a 120-flex stick then, and Brett Hull told him it “was the worst stick in the league. When he tells you that, you listen.”

By the end of his career he was using an 80-flex. It’s instructive, because it shows how you are never too old to learn. He has willing students in Los Angeles. Tanner Pearson revealed that Turgeon changed his one-timer, explaining Hull’s philosophy of holding your arms out like with a golf club. When asked, Turgeon showed how when your arms are too close to your body, they can rest or hit against your hips, which affects your ability to move, rotate and/or extend.

Did y'all hear the story Ludwig told last night during the game? He said that in between playoff rounds (had just beat Edmonton and were going to play St Louis next) they had 4 days off so he went to Mexico with Pantera and Metallica but never told Hitchcock about it.

Yeah, it was a funny exchange. He said he may as well let the cat out of the bag now & Razor quipped the statute of limitations had expired. Ludwig said, he had to tell the assistant GM, who replied, he didn't even want to know.

That probably wouldn't fly today.

Nieuwendyk scored more consequential goals wearing the C in those four games than Benn has in four years.

Goligoski with the OT game winner to put the Coyotes in the W column for the first time all season (12 games).

He tried his best to give it away on a 2-on-1 breakaway, then it came right back to him on a 3-on-2 with both Flyers defending nothing in particular:
