I suppose you gotta play the players that give you the best chance to win at this point. But it seems silly to scratch Gurianov over many players that will not make the NHL. Maybe they think Gurianov is one of them.

Well they’re probably focused on winning right now. During the regular season, yeah.

Don’t turn him into a savior. He only had two goals in the 14 playoff games he’s played so far.

No one said he is. He and Hintz had a strong second half of the season and playoffs, until three games in Chicago. Gurianov has his problems, mainly he's so inconsistent and doesn't use his shot enough. Put them back together.

Guarinov hasn’t scored a goal in the past ten straight playoff games.

He set up a couple goals and had other scoring chances for Hintz, mainly in the home games vs Chicago or Tuscon. He had the three awful games in a row in Chicago. He had no points in four games and was scratched since. He doesn't take advantage of his tremendous shot enough. I doubt he's going to play against even in this series, because Laxdal wants very physical players to wear down the Marlies.

In his defense, though, hockey is really *fargin'* hard. I mean have you played it? It’s seriously difficult.

In other words, he didn't score. What a surprise.

Curtis McKenzie with two more goals to even up the series.

Oh I forgot to mention this a few days ago but the absolute worst d-man on our team was Scarlett.

No matter if he's scoring he looks like garbage, hopefully he leaves as a free agent. Hintz, Bayreuther and Gurianov are the only three who look like they have NHL skill.
Elie is completely useless, hopefully he's traded along with Shore.

Elie is a terrific fourth liner. Fast, aggressive, creates turnovers, occasionally scores. What more do you want from a depth guy?

Pretty sure Jason was really down on the idea of potentially trading for Hedman a while ago.

That might have been Myers you're thinking of.

We drove down to Cedar Park yesterday on a day trip and went to Game 5. What a stinker of a game to choose. Whole team looked like crap. McKenna didn't play bad, but he also didn't make that one or two saves that might have made the difference. Gurianov was invisible. Elie looked decent, but was about the only one.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Although it is the classic lament of the losing team, the officials were atrocious. Absolutely awful. So many obvious penalties for each team were not called and a couple of them directly lead to goals. I think there was exactly one penalty called - and it was not a clean game.

Well the Stars have won the even games of the series.

Yeah they sucked. The had success off the rush in game four, which is what they need to do tonight if they want to continue the series.
Bayreuther needs to shoot way more, he has a rocket of a shot. Would be nice to see Gurianov have a game that matches his raw skill.
