So, remember Brett Pollock? Looks like he spent all of last year in the ECHL.

Robertson with four goals in his last three games, bringing him up to 12 goals and 20 points in 17 games. Not too shabby.

Colton Point, our #2 goaltending prospect after Oettinger, is 4-0-4 with a 1.08 GAA and .965 save percentage in college. Caveat: this is not the ECHL or some minor junior: the average NCAA goaltender puts up around a 2.80 and .900, slightly worse than the NHL.

Gurianov seems to have disappeared, with zero goals and siz assists in 12 games.

The Stars traded 2012 2nd rounder Ludwig Bystrom to Florida for 2013 6th rounder Reece Scarlett. My guess is this is a lefty-righty defense thing since they are opposite handed.

Gurianov was scratched, but the team won’t say why.

At least his production will remain consistent.

Colton Point (6-0-4, 1.16 GAA, .962 save pct.) is turning out to be one of the top goalies in the NCAA, and if he keeps playing like he is, might be on Canada's roster for the World Juniors.

Another 5th rounder, incidentally. So is Caamano, who's got 17 points in 19 games in the OHL and looked lethal up here in training camp.

I don't know what Hitch did to him after preseason, but Honka is pointless in all 6 games down in Austin.

Depression. He just needs a calming pig.

I think Hitch showed Honka all of his failings and broke his will.

I think this pretty much means his days of being called up are over.

That's too bad about Gurianov. I was hoping he'd at least wait until making it to NHL before disappearing, like Shore did.

Went to a Flint Firebirds game today, vs Kingston. So, two prospects in one game was the plan. However, former Firebird, Nick Caamano was traded to Hamilton two days ago! But Jason Robertson with Kingston was awesome. One goal, two assists and +3. Kingston killed Flint, 9-1. Am sure Nick was happy to be traded from a last place, pretty awful team to a first place team in Hamilton, but I was a little disappointed.

I know it's hard to believe, but there's a not-insignificant chance that Dallas will have both the U.S. AND Canadian goalies in the WJC:

Huh. Well then.
For Canada's sake I hope it doesn't happen ...

Anyone read Tyler Dellow's article on Honka? I don't wanna pay, but heard it's just him saying Honka ain't great

You don't need to pay to get takes like that. McClure gives them to you here for free.

And McClure's right. Plus Honka's way to small for the game today.

I posted part of it somewhere else on here.

Naturally, there are a number of Stars fans who like to tell themselves the Stars would be undefeated if Honka played every night.

Honka has sucked this year, but he still should be playing. Let him play every game it's going to help out the team. The team's puck possession is much better when Honka plays.
He's a way better option then playing two of Olekisiak, Johns, Pateryn. Let alone playing all three of them over Honka.

I agree. I saw Honka get at least 4 shots through to the net that Oleksiak would have at best shot wide if he didn't have it blocked.

And it's not like Olensiak is some awesome stalwart at defense. They probably play equally physical games sadly. The only thing Oleksiak has is longer reach.

Colton Point named the #2 goalie for Canada WJC. Not bad for a 5th round pick (a.k.a., The Magic Round)

Barzal with a hat trick today. That’s more goals than Gurianov has this season.
