Why are you guys so high on Howard?

He hasn't shown anything to get excited about.

i'm not so much high on him as i am sick of hearing about his situation. "is this the year Howard finally becomes the Red Wings future Goalie?" is something i've been hearing since the lockout.

Frost Not Welcome at Coyotes' Camp

With NHL training camps around the corner, former player agent David Frost is making news again.

According to the Toronto Sun, the controversial Frost, who is out on bail as he awaits an October trial date on sexual exploitation charges, has been granted permission to leave Canada and attend the training camp of the Phoenix Coyotes.

But Coyotes general manager Don Maloney made it clear he does want Frost anywhere near Coyotes' camp.

"I can't be strong enough about this, we don't want any part of David Frost," Maloney told the Toronto Sun. "He is not welcome here. This is the first I've heard about this, but I can tell you without a doubt, I don't want him here, we don't want him here, he will not be allowed here."

According to the report, Frost made a request to follow the progress of minor-leaguer Adam Keefe, the younger brother of Sheldon Keefe, who was once represnted by Frost. According to the NHLPA, Keefe currently has no agent.

"If young Keefe is in any way associated with Frost, he will not be coming to our camp," Maloney told the Toronto Sun. "He's a player targeted to play in San Antonio (of the American Hockey League). He played there last season and we had no problems with him and had no association with David Frost."

"This is simple really, if Frost is connected to Adam Keefe, we're through with Adam Keefe. When I was in New York, we had Sheldon for a brief time. And I had a little exposure to this man (Frost). I didn't like it. And I don't want anything to do with him now."

Mike Danton, another former client of Frost, is serving time in prison after pleading guilty to attempting to arrange a murder-for-hire on Frost in 2004.

The trial is scheduled to begin on October 14.

Even if he hasn't played in the NHL lately I'll post this here.
Rotoworld wrote:Theo Fleury is considering coming back to hockey to compete for the Allen Cup again.
"I think I'm going to come back to try to win an Allan Cup," he said. "It would be nice to add that to the collection." He would play for the Bentley Generals, who lost in the finals last season, in the senior AAA league. Fleury played for the Horse Lake Thunder in 2005, but they were knocked out of Allan Cup contention in the semifinal.

According to Andy Strickland the Predators are trying to trade Radulov since he wants to come back to the NHL and the Predators have no interest bringing him back.

Also Justin Williams ruptured his Achilles tendon while skating in a pre-training camp skate and is out for 4 to 6 months, speculation from Michael Russo Carolina might sign Mark Parrish.

Damn it. We don't make good trading partners with the Preds. We don't have any young forwards really to give up and they really have no need for defence. Unless they have an interest in Lundqvist???

Andy Strickland
Freak golf accident while getting out of the golf cart. The Blues are waiting for swelling to go down to determine an exact diagnosis. An MRI was performed on Erik Johnson's knee but the results were inconclusive due to the swelling.

This was a freak accident which could have occured by walking down the street. I spoke to Johnson a few minutes ago who is obviously upset and is waiting to learn the severity of the injury.

All the Blues are saying right now is that Johnson will definitely miss the first three days of camp. This is obviously a huge blow to the Blues if in fact Johnson misses significant time.

Johnson was playing golf at the Lake of the Ozarks with his teammates at a pre-arranged trip prior to training camp.

Interesting. He unhappy with Ranger management?

They picked up some decent players, but nothing to replace what they lost in Jagr, Avery, and Shanahan.

I'm surprised he's not with the Canucks yet. Doesn't that seem like the right fit?

Ok. 'Cos I thought this was pre-season. It's these little details that, if we pay attention, will help us go far.

Terms of the deal

If the Kings trade Sean O'Donnell, Anaheim will receive the Kings 2009 third rounder, if the Kings don't trade O'Donnell they give up nothing.
