O great. Powerplay for Chicago. 30 seconds remaining.

They'll end it here I'm sure.

Fabian done anything?
Other then his goal he's made a couple other good plays, sounds like he's improving every game.

I was at the game last night and I have to say I think Fabian looked shaky to almost terrible at times. He seems panicky when he gets the puck on the power play, and it looks like he has NO idea how to defend. He was the player who could have tied up the Blackhawk on the shorthanded goal if he had any idea how to tie up a stick, but he just skated by the guy and almost screened turco on the shot. Then, late in the game, he had a terrible moment along the boards at Center ice on the power play where he caved under the pressure from the forward and got spun around and lost the puck. He knew it was a terrible play: he skated to the bench and slammed his stick on the boards before he got on the bench.

I think he's gaining confidence, but had a shaky night last night. If we had a dedicated AHL team I think he could be best served spending some time there, but since we don't have that this year I'm not sure what's the best next step for him.

I think his play, from what I can tell, is obviously above the AHL level but below the NHL level.

Without a true AHL affiliate to send him to where he be fully integrated into the Stars' system, I guess the best thing for him is trial-and-error at the NHL level, and a supportive coaching staff.

Philippe Boucher will play tonight, and you can tell he's very happy to get this chance. He'll still be dealing with a little discomfort with that foot, but it's not a situation that will get worse. And the Stars won't be overextending him on minutes, either. Nicklas Grossman is also in tonight. Tracey Myers

I've heard this before his knee or foot won't get any worse, then that player ends up with a back injury or a groin injury.

They've been doing video all pre-season. They already have 3 videos up on a preview of tonight's game.

This evening Marty Turco set the alltime NHL career any hockey, anywhere record for allowing a goal on the first shot of the game.
Subsequently, the Stars outshot the Oilers 41-14 and still were able to lose 3-2.

I attended a game between the Sharks and Stars where the Stars lost by 3 or 4 goals facing only 9 shots on goal. For real.

Lobo, you haven't attempted suicide yet. I'm glad to see you are restraining yourself after the pre-season we just had. :D
