A popgun offence was a major issue for the Vancouver Canucks in 2007-2008, so they went out and brought in some help to provide secondary scoring.

And this...

John Tortorella may not be out of work too long.

According to a Newsday report, the former Tampa Bay Lightning head coach will meet with New York Islanders' GM Garth Snow on Sunday to discuss the team's head coaching vacancy.

They do now since they signed Baumgartner.
Just imagine if they could've signed Lessard and Miettinen, they would get to 500 goals next year.

Who else is out there to help their offense? I suppose they can go acquire John Sim, er the Islanders won't deal him that's right.
Oh yeah, Grant Marshall, Juha Lind, Richard Jackman and Niko Kapanen(even if he signed in Russia).

Speaking of Sim.

I didn't even know about Niko signing over in Russia until like a day or two ago.

For some reason, I lol'd when I heard about it. What a disappointment he was.
