No. They have the covid list Comeau is on. Sounds like Kiviranta left practice yesterday, but they didn't say whether he got hurt in practice or tried to skate through pain and couldn't. If he got hurt in the game, I didn't see where.

From Kero’s wiki:
“While attending Michigan Tech, Kero had a grade point average of 3.68 in mathematics.”

It's a casino in Vegas, right? That'll be cool on broadcasts in states where gambling is prohibited.

Yes because garbage Sinclair ended up with the RSNs as Disney was forced to sell. So Sinclair lost so much money from the deal, they're desperate for money so they sold the naming rights to a sportsbook casino.
When Disney was forced to sell them they were valued at $20 billion. Supposedly Sinclair didn't even have the highest bid for them, but they ended up with them.
Then they ask for higher fees from all providers despite the value of the RSNs decreasing a lot.
The regional sports networks Sinclair Broadcast Group (NASDAQ:SBGI) acquired from Walt Disney last year as part of the deal to buy 21st Century Fox suffered a significant loss of value over the past 12 months. Sinclair says the networks it bought for $9.6 billion are now worth just $5.4 billion, a loss of 44%.
https://www.fool.com/amp/investing/2020 ... rts-netwo/
The TV broadcaster took on a substantial amount of debt to finance the acquisition -- some $8.2 billion, or over 80% of the purchase price, and ended the third quarter with almost $12.5 billion worth of debt on its balance sheet.
Best situation is if Sinclair has to sell them.

He was definitely less impressive against a better team, but then again so was everyone else.

I wish Nill had found a way to shoot Comeau and Cogliano into the sun to make room. Perry would have been fine to bring back because he still has hands.
That goal tonight was wonderful.

And that was Caamano, Gardner, Kero, L'Esperance, Robertson with a combined 0 goals and 2 points in 12 games LOL. Perry already has 1 goal and 3 points in 4 games, while playing on a league minimum contract with zero bonuses!
All I'm saying is that with Seguin projected to be out, and Dellandrea + Robertson projected to be in, we still had room for Perry. God forbid Jason Dowling have to fight for his ice time LOL. Plus we always seem to be walking wounded.

He was invaluable in the playoffs and we are in win now mode. We gave up a cheap sure thing to rely on Caakerperandner.
(I still have faith in Fat Hapa btw, and Dellandrea has looked awesome, but again, most already had them pegged in).

That's the thing for me. I get that Dowling is capable of playing at an NHL level, but adding more talent and not having to rely on a guy like Dowling seems like a good idea to me. Can you potentially sign Hoffman or pick up Ho Sang on waivers? If so, then waive Cogliano or whoever to make it happen. "More talent" seems to win more often than not.

Re: 2021 Stars Regular Season Thread
Two, what does John want? If it's near the seven years at $8.8 million that Alex Pietrangelo got in Vegas, I don't think the Stars want to do that. If it's the seven years at $6.5 million that Torey Krug got, that could make more sense. The Stars will have both Joe Pavelski ($7 million per) and Alexander Radulov ($6.25 million per) off the books by the time Klingberg's new contract kicks in, so that should give them plenty of wiggle room.
It's my belief that the Stars want to keep both Klingberg and Heiskanen, and feel they have the room to do that. Again, a lot will depend on what each player wants. The big question then becomes if they can't get it done, do they trade Klingberg in the summer or ride out next season? If they play well this year and look to have a chance at the Cup, I think they might just ride it out on Klingberg's contract and see what happens. But, of course, that is a huge guess.

So we listen to Heika now?
“It’s my belief that the Stars want to keep Klingberg and Heiskanen.”
Really? No *fargin'* way. Someone hit the breaking news sounder.

The answer is yes. The salary cap doesn’t keep good teams from keeping their best players.

When any question that starts “Can the Stars afford....?” you should already know the answer.
