I think this is the appropriate move. However, don't they do background checks on people who enter the draft?

I rolled my eyes at the story about this guy at first. I was like “really? We’re spiking a draft pick because he bullied someone when he was a freshman in high school?” But then you read what he did and who he did it to, and yeah. This move is well deserved.

No kidding. I’m normally not inclined to hold mean things a young teenager says against them forever because that crap usually comes from their parents, but he doesn’t seem like he’s tried to improve himself from that.

If Mitchell had given a genuine apology and shown more genuine sorrow and regret for what he did, I would be up for giving him a second chance. I believe in redemption for most people, but he hasn't done any of those things and, the fact that he sent an apology to the NHL teams and NOT to the kid he bullied cements my negative opinion of him in that he only cares about himself.
