Our D couldn’t get in and control the game because TB was kicking their ass every time they went back for the puck. TB hit the Stars D every shift. That wore on them, made them less able. They didn’t change their tact, TB changed it for them by beating them to death.

And I doubt Bowness is coming back, at all. His choice. Stevens might get the head gig or Gallant would be awesome.

Gallant seems to have a short shelf life. But honestly I don't care if he can make us good. It's not like we're going to expect Benn/Seguin to be hoisting the cup 5 years from now. Needs to be next year or the year after at the latest, so go get a coach who lasts two years but wins.

Also, I don't buy this was all on Bowness. I think it was the players being old, slow, and tired. And very injured.

They won’t pay for Gallant. It’s gonna be John Stevens or another unknown plucked from the minor leagues.

Didn't Stevens already fail with an old and slow Kings team?

My mood.

I'm so grateful for the run the Stars went on. The ups and downs of the past two months are the reason I keep coming back year after year. I'm so grateful my boys came down this weekend and we got to share the experience of a Stars Stanley Cup Final overtime winning game together, even if it was in my family room instead of the AAC.

It absolutely sucks they lost. But what an incredible ride over this entire season. No one expected them to be in the position they were. And with a few lucky breaks on the injury front or a couple of lucky bounces, who knows what could have been.

They lost to a better team (and one of the better teams in recent memory) and have nothing to feel ashamed about. To get so close after two months in the bubble has got to be so gut wrenching (see the Benn interview). I know how I feel - can't imagine how they do.
