I think Shapiro's writing benefitted from the fact that he isn't a Stars fan, it was just his beat.

Got an email from the Stars today saying my season ticketholder options will be:

1. Opt-in to all home games.
2. Opt-in to half season plan
3. Opt-in for mini-plan and single game ticket options
4. Opt-out of attending games in 2020-21 and roll credit to 21-22.

With 1 and 2, won't have my original seat location. Instead will be place in "comparable" seats based on a price point equal to or lower than mine. (Priority based on tenure as a season ticket holder)

With 3, don't know where seats might be.

None of the options say anything about playoffs for this season, which isn't necessarily surprising considering they just formally announced the season yesterday.

So with a 56 game schedule, that would be 23 home games . I'm thinking maybe option 2?

The AAC is big enough that I wouldn't feel any worry about sitting spaced out during the game. I'd probably not like going out on the concourse, but maybe the small crowd will help keep those from being too congested.

Not much detail yet, but the guidelines in the email were:

1. Masks required
2. Socially distant pod seating
3. Cashless transactions
4. No bags (bc, you know, purses are a covid breeding ground)
5. No congregating
6. Mobile tickets only

Cashless? Eff that. I like my $9 beers to sting a little.

I don't know about you guys but I would love to have the rando bag checker who just coughed all over his hand rub that hand on all interior surfaces of my purse.

So under the old rules, the only way to get our revenge on Tampa would be to meet in the final again, but with them in our division now ( :S ) for this temporary realignment, maybe we can eliminate them in round 1 or 2 instead. Or they can eliminate us ... *fargin'* hockey.

I'd settle for winning the majority of the regular season games.

I'm already looking forward to the true, authentic, fantastic and everlasting rivalry that we are gonna have with Carolina.

Happy to play TB, automatic motivation makes a better team.

I guess my new found like for Detroit, since Stevie Y is my man will be short lived now.

And Carolina won’t be a cake walk.

Just saw the Stars Retro-Reverse white-out jersey, it's even worse in reality. The gray is more like dark white, nothing pops up, the silver on the shoulder patches comes flat out, the overall is just a dull pyjama.

It's what I imagine looking at the normal jersey must look like if you're green color blind and have bad cataracts.

It's going to look even worse on a television screen against the ice - particularly with the white pants, helmets, gloves and socks. No color pop (obviously) whatsoever.

There’s a lot of teams on there I’ve never felt strongly about that I’m looking forward to despising.

I think we should start the season with a 1-12-1 record on purpose, just to scare the *poo poo* out of our new sparring-partners.

Dear Stars twitter,
