Corey Perry has come so far since that Winter Classic walk of shame.

It took him six months to walk to Edmonton.

I wonder if Bowness gives his team the same "It's all house money since we evened up the series against Calgary" inspirational speech that we give here.

In honor of Corey Perry still being pure evil as a human but helpful to the cause, let’s relive his greatest moment in the NHL:

Guys, you have two choices. You can win tonight, or be home changing diapers tomorrow.

Things like these are funny. The cup checks, spears, and elbows are not so fun.

The player's reaction of disbelief is just great.

I hated him most for his diving. Which he continues to do.

I think it was always his face. He’d do something dirty and would also have that empty look like an open-eyed corpse. He’s evil.

Now that it's 3-2, in my head we split the series and then lost Game 5. It's less demoralizing that way LOL.
That Hanzal's so hurt right now.

"Worm."
I remember way back when, in the olden times, when someone asked Morrow about Perry and he said "Peckerwood." Dunno if that was a real nickname or just his own personal epithet.

I used to hate Correy Perry so much, but when he use to squirt water in other players gloves that was pretty funny. I think I still hate him as well. Love hate relationship

Every night a new hero. Corey *fargin'* Perry.
Just before he scored I was thinking if we don’t score here, we’re toast, you could see every Star was running on fumes.
And here’s to the hockey gods. We live to see two more days, at least. Hopefully restful, rejuvenating days.

I guess he's more noticeable in the playoffs since he's trapped in the bubble and couldn't be distracted fighting Dr. Doofenschmirtz.

Good of our long tenured leadership to step up last night:

Back in the Stars locker room after the Lightning shooting gallery in the first overtime, it was Joe Pavelski and Corey Perry — veteran forwards in their mid-30s — who challenged their team to do more than survive. They challenged their team to regain the initiative.
“The biggest switch for us tonight was those guys talking in the dressing room about having to go for it,” Tyler Seguin offered unprompted. “We can’t be sitting back, hoping to win. That’s why you saw the change in the second overtime when we started going after them.”

I like that it never occurred to the Stars to maybe try winning that elimination game until some experienced veterans piped up.

Hockey players are pretty dumb. They need to be told what to do, and it took two of them four periods to figure out trying to score might help.

There was definitely a difference but I assumed it was only because TB completely ran out of energy.

CBC has been highlighting him nearly every game. He has a routine before games, a long drawn out routine that he does exactly the same every game. They showed him in 3 boxes, each game, doing his routine. Practically identical. It's pretty funny. Bieksa has played with him so has become the resident Perry expert. He says Perry is super superstitious. They show a set of Perry clips almost every game, most are his antics, running the goalie, cheap shots, diving, what have you. It's been entertaining.

Yeah, that game was like whichever Rocky movie it was where Rocky gets his ass kicked the entire fight but manages to stay on his feet and then the opponent tires himself out and Rocky lands one lucky shot in the final round to win.
